@jadhav_sha35395 @Roger18Goat Both cab & auto drivers ask to travel with meter rate. Autos may at times go with rates on the app. In my case with Uber, even after agreeing to go with meter rate cabs didn’t come for the trip.
As such autos in Pune don’t go with meter rates & always quote random charges.

Don’t know abt other cities but Uber is not working in Pune. You may book a ride, accept their fare but the cab just won’t come.
On top of it pricing is completely broken with app showing some price & drivers demanding something else.
Pls suggest a good cab booking app.

2 weeks back we interviewed a guy with 15 years in the industry. 3 offers already in hand. 2 from listed companies.
We asked him why pick a startup like Pneucons over a safe desk job. He gave us a proper sales pitch. It worked. We made him an offer. He agreed we will meet again next week to close the position.
We followed up through the recruitment firm. Shared feedback. Waited.
Next week comes. His answer?
"Grandmother is on death bed."
15 years of experience and this is the best close he had.

Yesterday, I interviewed a candidate who has 2 decades of experience in the electrical category. He has worked across all major brands and OEMs. At his last stint, he built a team of 7 people over 18 months and collectively they achieved ₹50L average monthly revenue. His ask from us was ₹22 Lakh LPA + variables. Missing this confidence in life.

Met my parents at the @flyethiopian lounge in ADD. As we were exiting, a panic stuck lounge lady was yelling out my dad's name. When asked her what's the matter, she said "you're carrying a weapon!". What? No lady we're not. We assumed the "weapon" was a Boeing 787 model which sits atop the trophy for the winners of the Leiden Sarin Intl Air Law Moot Court Competitions 2026 (in Windhoek, Namibia). Anyways, we're taken down to the cargo facility on a bus, then shown our weapons.. a rifle (an actual one) and a pistol!! We were aghast. Anyways turns out they got the wrong passengers!! We are now 5 minutes to departure. We're whisked back into the terminal and upstairs and taken to the gate only to find We need to be bussed to the aircraft! 10 min past departure time now a VIP van arrives and takes us to ET-ATI. Two pax, a couple (sounded dutch) were standing being offloaded.. I assume they were the owners of the weapons. Got to my seat 01L to find someone drinking champagne on it.. argh, my seat and that to drinking while I'm doing sober 2026. Anyways they told him to skidaddle.

She is not flying IndiGo or SpiceJet she’s likely on a private jet… so there goes the fairness part. Also, we have spent years normalizing politicians blocking roads like it’s their birthright convoys, sirens, entire cities on pause so they can get somewhere 7 minutes faster. So honestly, if Kareena Kapoor skips an airport queue I am good with it, because if she stands in a line, the line will become a crowd, stalling everyone. Let’s pick our battles.

Kareena Kapoor broke the line at the airport and straight away moved to the gate. Why do celebrities get to do that? Who gave them this entitlement? Other people who are waiting at the airport also have urgent flights to catch, It's not fair to everyone.
