@tainab This is so thoughtful Taina, thx for sharing yr grief. Check out Roland Barthes’s “Mourning Diary” collected short notes on the temporality of grief after his mother dies. Like you, he rejects chronological measurement of grief. He blames the impulse to measure on psychoanalysis

@IAmDylanLewis There’s gotta be a relationship btw ref mgmt systems, inst endorsement & usability. I use zotero & mendelay now but start w endnote bc I learned it in grad school. Best to adopt habits of downloading citation metadata now, then import to chosen app later

@other_shoe I have not used a Windows PC since 2003, but lately I’ve been interested in reconnecting with my roots. Still, I know I’ve been trained a certain way… It will always make me nervous to include spaces in a file name. Bc that’s just trouble and why risk it? %20
