Working 9-5, building a business, and growing on social media?
It’s overwhelming.
But if you follow this system, you’ll stop feeling lost.
This is what helped me go from scattered to making progress on my business while working 9-5👇
--
1. Wake up earlier
I start my days at 5am.
Those 2 hours before everyone else is up are game changers.
Think about it, in 2 hours
You can create an entire digital product, a landing page, a content plan.
It sounds like a lot but I’ve done it.
But you never would have those things if you didnt wake up.
The hardest part about waking up is the first 10 minutes where all you want to do is go back to sleep.
Push through those 10 minutes. Trust me.
--
2. Keep a routine
The hardest part for me was finding a routine that didn't burn me out.
That, and the mentality I had around it.
But after chunking hours of the day into mini side quests, my routine became 100x more enjoyable.
Add some small rewards along the way, and every day, week, month became an obsessive path of momentum.
So chunk your tasks into hourly quests, and celebrate when they’re checked off.
You’ll rest so good knowing you accomplished so much that day.
3. Mentality
This for me has been the hardest battle.
If I mentally told myself ‘this is too much’ I’d feel more tired.
But if I mentally told myself ‘I get to do this’ each day feels like a game you’re trying to win.
I watch entrepreneur day-in-the-life videos first thing in the morning,
Their calendars are nuts, but they keep pushing
And its a strong reminder that if they can do it, I can do it too.
So reflect on your mentality. Ask yourself, is it holding you back or pushing you forward?

What are some things that you do to help you achieve business goals while working 9-5?

@thejustinwelsh Go to school. Get a job. Climb the ladder. Buy a house. Retire.
A slow-paced plan compared to the world of possibilities we live in now.

I’ve planned how I want my life to be.
And that’s all I think about 24/7.
Weekends go into:
- Writing content for the week
- Working on projects
- Finding potential clients
Weekdays after work:
- Engaging
- Sending DMs
- Learning what I need to grow
This is the cycle.
There’s nothing else going on.
Giving it my 200% to make it happen.

@itscristabraun Your inner voice can literally dictate how you show up every day.
So crucial to be aware of this.
English

@thedankoe You'll never know if you don't try.
Doesn't have to be perfect. It will always be something you learn from.
English

@iJalilHassan Push past the 'cringe' feeling, it seriously pays off in the end.

Yes, it is hard to juggle a full-time job & grow your own business.
Here’s the real struggle & how I overcame it.
--
1) Realizing that habits compound:
When you have a day job, the hours before and after are precious gems.
- I sacrifice Netflix hours for business hours.
- I make concrete time blocks and stick to them.
The more you do this, the easier it gets.
--
2) Little rewards along the way make a difference:
Mel Robbins did this to achieve fitness goals.
I do this to keep momentum in my week.
Whether its a chocolate bar, a good movie, or a video game session at the end of the week,
Give yourself something to look forward to thats close enough to reach,
But requires upfront work to get there.
--
3) Sleep is your best friend:
I’d sacrifice my bed time by scrolling. So dumb when you think about it.
The domino effect this has on tomorrow and beyond is not worth it.
Keep a tight sleep schedule to reset properly every day.
--
These are just some of the ways I’ve improved my balance.
What are you doing to help juggle things?
English

@winehilljournal I love a good Netflix show but its so many hours I could use elsewhere
English

@Megzcreates Netflix hours :D :D
I did this first (I dont even have netflix).
English

@loyaltyrain I go from one to the other, I like to keep things fresh and new, for some reason it helps me digest things better
English

@loyaltyrain Love to hear it! It definitely takes trial and error, I can relate
What matters is that we're persistent and it'll pay off :)
English

@Megzcreates These are great ideas! I'm working on having focusd blocks to help me not waste my time, sleep so thing been struggling with and now I working on changing my relationship with it one day at a time and working on keeping a regular early schedule
English

@KaidenThoughts Amen to that haha
Sleep has become my best friend lately.
English

@Megzcreates Last #3 haha.
Without sleep, everything is at a risk.
- cognitive decline.
- emotional instability.
- decision fatigue.
Sleep is the solution to sustainability
English

@JordanMLipsky Its an important shift.
Can be hard at the end of a long work day, but once you're in the flow that's when the magic happens.
English

@Megzcreates I did the same thing as you
Sacrificing the time watching tv to work in the business
I more meaning from the business and it keeps compounding
English

@Megzcreates Sleep is very underrated between some entrepreneurs I feel
