Hey @Tangem just a feature suggestion for $KAS Can you look into supporting the ability for us to connect to our own public node. This gives us the ability to verify ourselves if we are in consensus with the correct node version of Kaspa and remove the reliance of a middle man.

$KAS Keystone Hardware Wallet gave an update about integrating $KAS. They are trying to receive a grant to make this happen. I believe @Kaspa_KEF would be behind the grant process. Hopefully, we get some movement on this soon! $KAS needs more wallet options!

I’ve recently seen some concerns regarding @Tangem due to a bug that exposed seed phrases within a log. Let me break down what happened and why I’m not worried. A user who created a seed phrase with the Tangem wallet noticed that when sending an email to Tangem support, the app generates some logs to be sent with the email. Unfortunately, these logs contained the user's seed phrase. If the email was sent to Tangem support, the seed phrase would be revealed to all Tangem employees and, potentially, to the internet. The user reported the issue to Tangem, and they quickly fixed it, ensuring that seed phrases would no longer be exposed in these logs. Here’s why I’m not concerned. The root cause of this problem is that the user opted to create a seed phrase with Tangem. This is the worst thing you can do with your Tangem wallet. The whole point of the product is to NOT use the seed phrase option. They only added this feature after users complained about not having one, and Tangem itself doesn’t recommend using it. If the user had never created the seed phrase in the first place, these keys would never have been exposed. When you opt out of using a seed phrase, your keys are securely stored in the chip and it never leaves it. Here’s what you should do if you already have a seed phrase with Tangem: 1. Move your funds off Tangem. 2. Reset your cards. 3. Create a new wallet without a seed phrase. If you don’t like the idea of not having a seed phrase, don’t use Tangem. The whole purpose of the Tangem product is to protect your keys with the chip, without the need for a seed phrase. If you opt for a seed phrase, you’re essentially wasting your money. If you want a seed phrase, get a cold storage device that generates the seed phrase offline, without connecting to the internet. I hope this clears things up. 🎉Happy New Year!🎊 This past year has been remarkable in so many ways. The innovation and progress on the dev & tech side have been incredible. From the growing Dev community to the flawless implementation of Kaspa on Rust to TN11 running 10bps, to the imminent hard fork (Crescendo) and Smart Contracts coming in the new year. Ecosystem initiatives like @Kaspa_KEF, @KaspaKii, @kasmediadotcom, @kasplex, @rock_the_kaspa and others have been very active! The grassroots marketing efforts have grown awareness and adoption greatly. Kaspa was represented at over 12 large crypto events and meetups around the globe and found its way onto many xSpaces, AMAs, YouTube features and news media channels. Kaspa chats and social channels grew exponentially and more merchants, exchanges, and integrations have onboarded Kaspa, monthly. (See Infographic) If you could name one Kaspa highlight from 2024 and one thing you are most looking forward to in 2025 and why, what would they be?
