Meta just brought stablecoins into creator payouts. But this is not just about adding another payout option for creators. Meta Platforms is testing a system where creators can receive earnings in USD Coin using blockchain rails instead of traditional bank transfers. What stands out is how it’s being structured. Instead of launching its own token like Libra, Meta is working with Stripe and using networks like Solana and Polygon. Another key detail is the structure. Creators receive USDC directly in wallets, while Meta stays out of the actual fund movement. It’s small for now, but if this grows, platforms won’t just share content; they’ll also send money directly across the world. @Meta

Personal update: Closed a very special chapter on 31 Dec. My time with @HashedEM and @IBWofficial has come to an end after nearly 4 years. Hard to put into words what this journey has meant to me. I led Platform at Hashed Emergent across events, reports, incubators & accelerators, partnerships and other ecosystem bets. But more than anything, I had the privilege of building IBW from scratch with an incredible team and leading it for three straight years. I’ve always wanted to push myself, to work hard in an intense environment, to learn and grow. Hashed Emergent was that place for me. I’m incredibly grateful to @taaklee for the trust and freedom he gave me throughout. The platform role was rare - it let me experiment, fail, learn, and ship. And IBW? IBW was a beast. I still remember Tak’s first message asking whether we should host IBW. From a rough idea to India’s largest crypto conference, it’s been intense, unpredictable, and deeply rewarding. Forever proud of what we pulled off with a lean team and a whole lot of heart. To the attendees, partners, sponsors, speakers, creators, supporters and countless volunteers: thank you for believing in the mission and for continuing to do so. Grateful to everyone who made these past few years unforgettable. To the Hashed Emergent team: thank you for the trust, the energy, and the constant push to do better. And to everyone who contributed to IBW: thank you for building something bold and beautiful together. The ecosystem in India is only getting started, and I hope we’ve been able to play a tiny part in pushing it forward. Taking a short breather for now, but excited for what’s next. It was #devfestMumbai 2025 today. Full of unique experiences. Loved the finance quiz by @ZerodhaVarsity brilliantly hosted by fabulous Quiz Master by Archana. Kudos to @gdgmad and @GDGCloudMumbai for putting together such an incredible event.

In today’s parliamentary session, @raghav_chadha spoke on tokenisation, an area in global finance that’s growing very fast. Around $18 billion worth of Real World Assets (RWAs) are already tokenised globally. These assets include US Treasuries, public and private bonds, equities, commodities, and more. One of the key benefits of tokenisation is improved access to assets that have historically been illiquid or restricted to institutional investors. Big financial institutions like BlackRock have already launched tokenised funds, such as BUIDL, backed by US Treasury and cash-equivalent assets. A few other countries are also exploring how this can work within their financial systems. This presents a potential opportunity for India in areas like market infrastructure and how assets are issued and distributed. @RWA_xyz
