When asked about U.S. special forces entering Iran to secure its enriched uranium, IAEA head Rafael Grossi said the operation would be “very challenging.”
“I guess there will be a number of decoys, a number of distracting cylinders, materials over there, which would make it very difficult,” Grossi told @margbrennan on Thursday. “I’m not saying it's impossible. I know that there are incredible military capacities to do that, but it would be very challenging operation for sure.”

@vonderburchard 2015 hat Deutschland Frankreich nach der Aktivierung von Art. 42 (7) militärische Hilfe zur Verfügung gestellt, aber eher unterstützend. Dafür brauchte es dann noch ein separates Bundestagsmandat. Falls Zypern Art 42 (7) aktivieren würde scheint mir ähnliches rechtlich möglich.

What comes next is uncertain. But there is now an open path to a different Iran, one that its people may have greater freedom to shape.
I’m in contact with partners, including those in the region that bear the brunt of Iran’s military actions, to find practical steps for de-escalation.
