For nearly a decade, Cardano has been one of the largest, most reliable, and secure blockchains, with zero downtime since its launch in 2017. Cardano runs on eUTXO, an extension of Bitcoin’s UTXO accounting model, with native programmability. Transactions execute in parallel. Multiple assets settle in a single transaction. Fees are known before you submit. Smart contract outcomes are deterministic at the protocol level. There are no failed transactions that eat fees. What you model is what executes. Cardano also handles tokens differently. Native Assets inherit the same properties as ADA itself, secured directly at the ledger level. No ERC-20 style smart contracts sit between users and their tokens. Given these architectural differences from EVM chains, a major limitation has always been connectivity: Cardano didn’t speak the same language as the rest of crypto.

Why trade automation matters 👇 There are three core value propositions trade automation brings to Cardano: 1. Profit for individual traders Ex. Cross DEX arbitrage, volatility capture, and other automated strategies allow users to target profitable trade opportunities across the network. These strategies can aim for around 1% or more per trade in certain conditions, which may be significantly greater than the single digit APYs offered by most liquidity pools on Cardano. 2. Increased market efficiency Arbitrage and mean reversion strategies, for example, keep asset prices closer across exchanges and help maintain more stable markets. This creates a more reliable and functional trading environment for all Cardano users. 3. Increased on-chain activity A natural result of trade automation is increased network activity. A single power user running multiple strategies can meaningfully increase trading volume for the network, and this effect may be even greater when activity is concentrated around specific CNTs.

I'm looking for a Bitcoin second layer that gets it right. Balances are easy to withdraw. Self-custody is the default. Reserves are visible to everyone. Censorship is obvious when it happens. First Cardano Native Token listed on Binance. This isn't just a milestone for Midnight - it changes the game for on-chain volume and cross-venue trading. When CNTS like $NIGHT trade on both CEXs and Cardano DEXs, price differences create arbitrage opportunities. Automated strategies can capture spreads between venues. Institutions can buy on CEXs (familiar, regulated) and move on-chain for DeFi strategies. Or execute on-chain and exit via e.g. Binance. That bidirectional flow = more volume. CEX liquidity + DEX liquidity working together instead of in isolation. Better price discovery, tighter spreads, deeper order books. I believe I was one of the most frequently hired developers on Cardano during its peak on chain period. Was I the best? Definitely not. But I had something many didn’t. I consistently went the extra mile. I would help people with zero knowledge of a subject even when it slowed down my own work. I would say yes to deals with modest compensation if it meant someone could ship their dream on chain, without being gatekept. Did bad actors try to exploit that goodwill? Yes. I blocked 99% of them but a few still slipped through. Looking at the current revenue of many of the apps I deployed, especially in dollar terms, it is almost funny. With ADA where it is today and on chain traffic near zero, there is not nowhere enough usage to sustain a full time engineer’s real life expenses from those apps alone. But that is fine. We were never building for the lifestyle. Instead we were building something bigger than ourselves. In 2024, I built @snekx_io (before even collaborating with Snek on the project) at a time when minting a token on-chain wasn’t straightforward. Today it might look like “old tech,” but let me tell you during June 2024, when the network was congested from traffic, SnekX ran flawlessly. It was by far one of the most used apps on Cardano at the time and it’s still live. In late 2024 and early 2025, the Hodlcoin implementation I built, adapted from Ergo and made plug and play for existing tokens, turned the standard memecoin into a more sophisticated holding game. Something that, to my knowledge, hadn’t been done on any chain in that form. Again, we broke records. If this had launched on Solana… you know how that story goes. But we did it here. And it’s still live and working. Another product I built was the @DanZoADA backend, which remains the only casino (across chains) offering pooled house liquidity, meaning anyone can become “the house” and earn rewards. A decentralized house for a gambling app on a decentralized network. It still pays liquidity providers every 5 days, without hiccups. I only like taking credit for projects that actually push the chain forward, things that are not just copy pasta from elsewhere. The best ideas don’t come when you’re maniacally locked in. They come naturally on a walk, when your mind is calm and the patterns connect. 🌳 After taking a breather, I think we have one more truly revolutionary product in us one built on the knowledge I’ve gained from five+ years of building, revising, consulting on and investigating decentralised applications. So I want to make it official I’m now formally one of the developers behind @NorthStarDEX and I’m backing it with everything I can offer as a Cardano veteran. What's next for Surge: Market-conditions based trades Surge launched just over a month ago. It showcased the platforms core functionality: Non custodial, code-free Cardano trade automation. Trades were pre-determined based on size and frequency. The next era of Surge introduces market conditions as signals for trade execution. This will be enabled by PineScript, a language that lets users write custom, open rules for when to buy and sell assets. PineScript is used across most financial markets as fundamental infrastructure. For example, a strategy could say: buy 1,000 units of Asset X on DEX A and simultaneously sell 1,000 units of the same asset on DEX B whenever the price on DEX A is 5 percent lower than the price on DEX B. This dramatically enhances Surge's capabilities, allowing users to run 24/7 profit-targeting strategies. In depth progress on these developments can be found in our Discord.
