Lol how is this possible... I hustle for money, produced movie, pay you well to come and act. And you still expecting to be taking a lifetime dividends on the project you no help me invest in. Perhaps if i cast like 200 people in the movie, they will have to be getting dividends too right?...... lol that's unwise of you sir

I might be the only one who doesn’t see anything worth celebrating about the birth and death of Jesus Christ. As someone who values logic and rational thinking, it’s a concept that has never fully made sense to me. I often find myself asking a question many people seem to avoid because it makes them uncomfortable: what exactly did the coming, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ truly achieve in practical terms? If the central claim is that his death changed the world, then where is that change? “It is finished,” we’re told. But what exactly was finished? We still live in a world filled with sickness, death, war, and suffering. In fact, one could argue that things have only become more complex, more chaotic, and, in many ways, worse. So what exactly did his death change? We are told it brought “salvation.” But salvation from what, exactly, and into what certainty? Even with this supposed gift, nothing appears guaranteed. You still have to struggle, obey, endure, and hope you have done enough to qualify. So is it truly a gift, or just another system of conditions wrapped in spiritual language? We are told he died for our sins, yet sin did not disappear. If anything, it feels more normalized than ever. So was the problem truly solved, or merely redefined? And here is the part that puzzles me the most: if Jesus came to give humanity power over death, where is that power? We are told he conquered death, yet death remains undefeated in every physical sense we can observe. Everyone still dies. Everyone still fears it. So what does “victory over death” actually mean beyond a comforting phrase? What changed in any tangible sense? If Jesus had never been born and never died, what is the absolute worst outcome we would be facing today that we are not already experiencing? Would the world be drastically different, or are we simply holding on to a belief because we were taught to, rather than because we can clearly see its results? And if the entire promise rests on eternal life, something no one has returned to confirm and no one can conclusively prove, something that is not even guaranteed, then aren’t we basing everything on a hope that demands belief without evidence? I am not asking these questions out of disrespect, but out of genuine curiosity. If something is claimed to be the greatest turning point in human history, then its impact should be undeniable, not something that constantly requires explanation and faith to sustain it.

Hallelujah! Christ is risen! But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. By the Resurrection power of Jesus, every circumstances holding us bound shall give way today.🙏 Happy Sunday and a Wishing you a wonderful Easter celebration ❤️

@Prezain_LJ Jesus showed man the way to live and love according to the purpose God created us. God created us for a purpose, to love him and our fellow man. But Man, having the choice and freedom deviates from the teaching. What we see after his death and today is our choice to disobey

I’m sorry, genuinely asking but i thought Jesus died on a Friday afternoon. Going by that and the fact that he resurrected 3 days after, aren’t we meant to be celebrating Easter on Monday and not Sunday?

Back in my Catholic secondary school, if you even dared to talk on Good Friday, it’s over for you… 😭 We didn’t just fast from food, we fasted from speaking. We communicated in sign language—e reach make you feel like na we crucify Jesus. So imagine my shock when I got home after graduation and experienced the Easter Triduum outside school. The noise?? I didn’t even know people talked on Good Friday or during the vigil before the Great Alleluia. For six years, we observed it in deep silence and reverence, and it shaped me. Now, every little noise in church those days still feels off. Even at home, when people try to gist, I’m just not in the mood. Those moments taught me how sacred these days truly are—and honestly, I miss it. 😪

No hollywood studio wanted to produce the passion of the Christ. Too risky. Too controversial. So Mel Gibson funded it himself, forming his own production company. He knew this would cost him everything. When casting Jesus, Mel warned Jim Caviezel: "If you do this, you will be rejected by hollywood." Jim took a day to pray. Then he called back: "We have to make it. I am 33. My initials are J.C." Mel paused. "You are scaring me." And hung up. What followed was the most brutal role in hollywood history. Caviezel lost 45 pounds, was struck by lightning twice, and whipped by accident leaving a 14-inch scar. He dislocated his shoulder and developed pneumonia and hypothermia from hanging on the cross for hours. Filming the crucifixion alone took 5 weeks. He later underwent two open-heart surgeries due to stress. Jim's goal was clear: “I didn't want people to see me. I wanted them to see Jesus. Conversions will happen through that." And they did. All over the world. The film grossed $611 million worldwide and became the most successful R-Rated film in history. But more than that, it brought christ's suffering to life and pierced hearts across the globe. Pedro Sarubbi, who played Barabbas, said of Caviezel: "His eyes had no hatred. Only mercy and love." He converted to Christianity. Luca Lionello, who played Judas, was a former Atheist. After filming, he became a christian and baptized his children. A muslim technician on set watched the filming... and gave his life to Christ. The passion of the Christ didn't just make headlines, it changed lives. It sparked conversations in hollywood, conversions in living rooms, and tears in theaters around the world. A film about his death led many to find true life.

Before filming The Passion of the Christ, Mel Gibson asked Jim Caviezel: “you still want to play..Jesus? If you do this, you may never work in this town again.” Then it hit him. “My initials are J.C., and I’m 33 years old.” Gibson replied, “God, you’re freaking me out.”

In 2017, a corps member from Ugep, Cross River, passed away during his service year. I was part of the execs in Ikom, where he served, and our LGI asked us to accompany them to Ugep to pay our last respects. What stayed with me wasn’t just the loss. he seemed to be one of the first from his family or community to serve but something I witnessed at the burial that I’ve never forgotten. Just before he was laid to rest, a group of guys started hitting him with cutlass while in the coffin, put palm tree leaf in his mouth and put the cutlass in his hand before he was finally buried. Till today, I still wonder what it was meant to signify.
