Just had an email from the #Co-Op reassuring me my password is safe. My data: name, address, birthdate, phone number has been compromised but they cant actually log in and see what cat food or broccoli i buy. So thats ok then. Phew!
@ThreeUK I sort of appreciate the update, but this is absolutely abysmal.
It's not a "small percentage"
In fact can everyone respond to this with what town city's etc and let's see.
UPDATE: We're aware of an ongoing issue affecting a small percentage of voice services and are working hard to fix it. Data services are unaffected. We're really sorry if you've been affected by this.
@hines_stephen Ahhh ok - on the news they were saying it causes black ice on the roads. I think my brain struggles with how they now warn of more ‘obvious’ hazards (visible ice) whereas before it would just be the less obvious. Not knocking it, sometimes it just throws me!
@melaniebell Freezing rain will form ice. It is not always black ice.
Black ice is a patch of ice that is difficult to see on the surface it lands on.
Hence freezing rain landing on a car can often be very obv.
Why have all the news channels started calling Black Ice ‘freezing rain’ and are treating it like some new really unusual new thing in a cold winter? #snow#uksnow#freezing
@hines_stephen The ‘explainer’ and dangers of it just given on sky news were basically black ice ( as it focussed on roads/pavements). What does it do differently in these circumstances?
@goldustwoman64 I think youve misunderstood my tweet. I know what it can do. But its always been called Black Ice, has always been extremely dangerous, isnt new and didnt need renaming. Im curious why theyve renamed it and are treating it like some new thing?
@melaniebell Because u could break your neck if u were out and about , trust me I know . I got caught out once could t say on my feet , I was stuck untill a kind lady helped me into her car .🥴
4 separate chats just assumed i was talking about my own device - and informed me i was out of warranty. Not one thought to ask if it related to a gift/2nd user/2nd device purchased. @google in 2025. - its unbelievable.
If you ever buy a @google@fitbit product as a gift, and it breaks - be prepared for multiple web chats, awful chat service and agents that dont bother with previous chats you have case IDs for. AWFUL. Web based but cant comprehend purchaser/user are different people.
@BR270@AvaSantina So the state is paying her rent so that she can pay school fees? So the state is actually paying for the private school fees. And thats ok coming from a news outlet that demonises benefit claimants? Make it make sense!!!!
@AvaSantina £5.6K school fees. UC pays rent. £7K left for food, transport, heating and other bills. 2 people surviving on around £600 a month. VAT adds £1,120 to the fees, leaving £480 per month.
It's possible but not very probable. If true then kudos for the sacrifices for her child.
@juneslater17 Its not the Oppression Olympics June. And whilst Britains Poorest lived in horrendous conditions, it was not Chattel Slavery, and saying so is quite frankly, stupid.
Britain didn't import many slaves, we grew our own.
One pair of clogs lasted you your entire life if you were a mill worker, and we're repeatedly soled and heeled.
If you had no job, they sent you to the work house. This was a terrifying place of abuse and soulless drudgery.
No medicine no doctors no decent nutrition and luxury of any kind.
Who makes reparations for our ancestors..?
