1972: An afternoon of @UTAustin baseball at Clark Field no. 2, where the Bass Concert Hall stands today. Look close - that the newly-opened LBJ Library at upper left and the stadium off to the right. The baseball team would move to Disch-Falk Field in 1975.

Personal news: I took the MLB.com buyout after 9 years. I was proud to be part of a team that does an extraordinary job covering the sport. I made friends for life and will miss them greatly. I had a helluva good time.

Prayers for @MarkCalc having back surgery today. Fusing his L4 and L5. It’s over a 5 hour surgery and will be staying in the hospital a couple days. If all goes well, best case scenario is playing in 6-7 months. 🙏🏻

My 19 yr-old is on the last rope of cancer. A dog w attention but a cat w cynicism & alpha traits. I couldn’t have better memories.He’s the most special animal I’ve ever had. I was lucky to adopt him..the adults at the pound need homes 2. i guess the 23 lbs helped. Best pet ever
