Tinubu in Jos Confirms ‘Don't Vote for Me’ Prediction on Power Supply During the 2023 campaign, President Tinubu made a clear electoral promise: “If I don’t give you constant electricity in four years, don’t vote for me for a second term.” When he took office in 2023, Nigeria had a power supply of over 4,000 megawatts and lower tariffs. Today, the electricity power supply is less than 4,000 megawatts on the average, and Nigerians are paying higher tariffs. Nigeria currently has the lowest per capita electricity consumption in the world, with a rate below 30% of the African average. Africa’s average is 617kwh, Nigeria’s is 144 kWh. This means that Nigerians consume least electricity than other Africans. In a glaring display of disregard for promises and a lack of trust, President Tinubu, during a brief airport stopover to visit grieving families of the Jos attack on Thursday, April 2, 2026, stated that one of the reasons for his 10-minute stay was that the airport had no electricity. “You have no light here I fly out in ten minutes” At a time when Nigerians are enduring days without power, our leaders cannot even stay a few minutes without it. Now is the time to stop incompetent leaders—those lacking the capacity and compassion—who prioritise their own comfort over the well-being of the people and make empty promises. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Upon my return to Abuja, I was parked by a soldier on duty who asked where I was heading, and I mentioned FCT. He politely asked if could lift one of his colleagues to Abuja, and I said it was fine. When I was few meters close to Giri junction, I asked the officer his route, he was heading to Zuba while I was going through Lugbe axis to the town. I told him Zuba isn’t far. Transport is around 2-300 Naira. I asked if he was going to stop there(Zuba), or he was heading somewhere. He then told me he was going home to see for the first time after 10 months, his newly born twins. No permission was granted over the period. Sadly, he had to make the compulsory trip because his wife had called that one of the babies had died. And she urged him to come see the other twin in case he will die too. I asked him why he didn’t leave earlier than he left. He replied that he waited with the hope that salaries will be paid, since today is second, but it wasn’t, unfortunately. How then do you intend to make it, I asked him. He showed me all the money he had on him –4,500 which wasn’t even enough to get him to his destination. I could not help than give him 20k and I took his phone number, giving him my words that I will call to get information about the sick baby. I want to ask a question, please 🙏🏻 Are these the soldiers we expect to lay down their lives in our protection? You’re owing soldiers, and you want them to be effective while fighting insecurity? Sadly, this is really laughable. Tales of a soldier on easter.

Let it be on record that Ekiti state university management refused to comment on the ongoing attack in the school. They proceeded with exams today like nothing happened.

Here is how my Q1 ended 🥹 - I lost a $36,000 senior marketing operations role. We concluded the interview in December, and I was to receive my offer in January. On the 1st of January, when people were saying happy new year, the recruiter sent me ‘the bad news’. My heart broke! I was asking God why me. I was headhunted. I aced the interviews and the team loved me; only to get feedback that they decided to move in another direction with an internal candidate. I stopped eating anything. All the food I had cooked (catfish pepper soup, party jollof, chicken soup and sauce, fried rice, etc.) I had to throw away in February. For over a month I was only sipping garri hence why I gained so much weight. It took my mother for me not to fall deeper into my dark little hole. Funny how I admit that, I was still tweeting. 😅 Then came February… February made me feel hopeful in the beginning. Firstly, I was going to turn 25. Then after much stalling, I was finally going to leave my role as COO. I delayed the process for a long time because it felt like leaving your child. For close to two years, I did not focus on anything other than building my last company. So it was hard. Very hard. I fell sick shortly after I turned in my resignation. Lo and behold, I was referred by someone I don’t know for a Team lead supervisory role for a call centre facility, and in less than 48 hours, I had an offer. It was good. But my spirit judged it. I don’t know why that happens but if I don’t feel peace after receiving an offer, it always ends up being a disaster I could have avoided. I did reject the offer, and the founder and director wanted to negotiate again, but I declined. Then, I lost the operations manager of the year award by Non-code. I smiled through it but deep down, I believed I NEEDED that win. But God indeed had other plans. Now, a few days after finally turning 25, and posting my resignation, I was headhunted for an Operations Manager position for a SAAS company, no interview. Just resume. Pay 850,000 Naira. I think say na play. That same day, another fintech company I had applied to, reached out to me to set an interview. I aced that as well. It was a Head of Department position but the offer letter stalled for a bit. Finally March… After a few nudges from the SAAS company for my feedback, I had to tell them I had another offer and would like to head in that direction (THE BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER). The recruiter felt bad but she understood and said she would keep me in their pipeline for future purposes. The fintech company, finally sent their pre-offer email. LMAO! Firstly, they advertised the role as 1.2M -1.5M and offered me 900k NET which was way below the range I gave them. I negotiated for 1.2M minimum. They agreed. Then took extra days to draft the offer letter (another red flag). Guys, in all my years of drafting contracts and employing people, I have never seen such in my life! A head of department role, no HMO or Leave till 1 year post probation. If I resigned less than 1 year in without “any reasonable” reason, I’ll refund 3 months of my gross salary. 15 days' leave is accessible for 1 year upon confirmation. Other benefits are also 1 year post probation. Then, the termination clause was a mess! I was shocked. I shared it with a CHRO, and she was in disbelief. Shared it with my lawyer, and he went numb. Tried to negotiate professionally. The HR acknowledged my concerns and negotiations were reasonable and she will share feedback with me, only to return days after to say management has blah blah blah. Even HMO, they did not agree to review. We had to reject that. I had already lost 💔 Was head haunted last week for another role but they went another way when they realised I was a Nigerian living in Nigeria. After several interviews and tests. So, in Q2, when you see God favouring only me, just know I have paid my dues in full! I did buy a Laptop, and cooked food worth over 300k to stay afloat

Good morning. Looks like everyone has moved on from this Ozoro matter. I just want to say this : As a country, I understand we’re not a lot of twitter but we really lack collective focus on collective issues. I pray the ladies involved get proper treatments and support and praying the perpetrators get punished. 1. Do not standby and watch sexual assault happen beside you. Stand against it and let your voice be heard. 2. Do not be directly involved in sexual assault. 3. Do not falsely accuse anyone of sexual assault.
Name cannot be blank@hackSultan

I don’t want to sound like a nuisance but it’ll be good to hear some update from the government and the police on this Ozoro matter, everything is dying down. I’m yet to actually see one person that was arrested.
