@DrFrancisYoung I’d love to know if they’re pagans or heretics. (Do they have a wrong idea about the Trinity, or do they worship something/someone else altogether?)

I’d be intrigued to know who these polytheist ordinands are and what it is they believe 🤔
Mrs Berry@exceeding_love
Yesterday’s Church Times seems to confirm that DDOs will do *anything* to avoid selecting candidates with historic Anglican beliefs, including selecting polytheists for ordained ministry in our Church.

UK taxes aren’t high by European standards but it’s much harder to raise significant amounts if you exclude middle-earners and just target the wealthy. arguably.uk/p/the-tax-trut…

@DrFrancisYoung I wonder if No.10 North will turn out to be the hope inside us all along, rather than an actual place. No.10 Ultima Thule.

There’s a tacit conspiracy to never discuss this.
The Tories don’t want to admit they presided over redistribution from high earners to low earners.
And Labour doesn’t want to credit the Tories with it.
Right? Wrong? You decide. But it happened.
Paul Johnson@PJTheEconomist
Neither big party wants to acknowledge this. Between 2010 and 2024 share of tax paid by high earners rose sharply. Big cuts in higher and additional rate thresholds, and in pension tax relief, hit them hard. Trade offs as ever. But please let’s not pretend this didn’t happen.

@Steven_Swinford What we need is a confident and united Labour party moving forward under a new leader
Oh, they won't? Really? Everyone's briefing the hacks like there's no tomorrow?
Rats in a sack you say?
I feel this is going to work
