They were strange days—curious dream-like days—and they followed each other silently, like shadows over grain fields. Edith Allonby, The Fulfilment, 1905.

Underground club hit “Our Darkness” is a singular piece of music: Anne Clark’s lyrics, delivered with equal parts muscular confidence and unease, speak of urban alienation and heartbreak, while David Harrow’s production pummels the listener with hydraulic beats and gloom-laced arpeggios. The song’s spirit would prove influential on both the early Chicago house and Detroit techno scenes, where mechanistic funk and existential despair could catalyse dancefloor mayhem. Our reissue out March 27 with an unreleased dub mix and Razormaid remix!

Dune (1984) gets written off, even by Lynch, but the film’s worldbuilding is doing its own thing. Baroque sets, strange textures, and a future that feels alien in a way few sci-fi films even attempt. It’s rough, but there’s nothing else like it.

Thomas Allen LeVesque (1948–2018), aka Tal LeVesque / Jason Bishop III, was a key figure in spreading Hollow Earth, Shaver Mystery, and especially the Dulce Base legends.
In his later years, he confessed to author Adam Gorightly that he fabricated the Dulce tales—including the nonexistent Thomas Castello—as creative writing/experimentation.
Some of the biggest underground alien base myths started as fanfic. 👽

Imagine a newspaper publisher refusing to let libraries keep copies of its paper. That’s effectively what’s starting online, as big publishers block the Internet Archive from preserving news sites. eff.org/deeplinks/2026…
