I’d never heard Be Bop Deluxe until you mentioned their album “ Modern Music” , I bought it , loved it , then bought a Best Of , brilliant stuff .
Now , when I hear MM title track , all I can hear is Bill Nelson …..

Me last week outside the old Finsbury Park Rainbow — I loved that place. Saw great bands there in the late 70s incl Clash, Jam, Ramones, Buzzcocks, Joy Division. This Saturday we celebrate London’s Lost Music Venues. What were your favourites & why? And who did you see there?

Stuart Adamson and I knew each other. Not in the 80s, when our paths never crossed, but in the late 70s in Dunfermline & Edinburgh. We were introduced by fanzine editor Johnny Waller. Though it seems dreamlike to me now, I lived in Dunfermline for 3 weeks in 1978....

Morrissey has canceled his concert in Valencia, Spain scheduled for Thursday night due to a poor night's sleep caused by a noisy hotel he was staying at. A statement announcing the show's cancelation said that "the experience has left Morrissey in a catatonic state." Morrissey himself added that "it will take me one year to recover. And that is an understatement."
