Here’s a look at new Memphis 6’7” wing Tylik Weeks.
- 99th percentile in USG% (30%)
- 99th percentile in FTA per game (8.0 FTA)
- 92nd percentile in FT% (82.3%)
Production was there last year scoring 19+ a game. Shooting numbers were inefficient, mostly due to taking a very high amount of tough shots (81.4% of jumpers OTD). Touch is definitely there though (82.3% FT), and that’s a big indicator of shooting abilities. So, I wouldn’t worry too much about his shooting splits from last season.
A lot to like about Weeks’ game. A huge pickup on the wing, and it gives Memphis more than 1 creator on the court… something that they didn’t have the luxury of having last year.

Weeks just completed a visit to Ole Miss last week, and it’s widely viewed as a battle between those two teams for Weeks. NEWS: South Georgia Tech 6’11” C Matt Mbole is currently visiting Memphis, he tells me. First by @JucoRecruiting.
Ranked as the #8 JUCO prospect by @EDemirNBA . Averaged 10 PPG 12.2 REB and 2.6 BLK last season.
Mbole is a force around the rim, with over 86.7% of FG around the rim (finishing 64% FG at the rim). Rebounds the ball extremely well (4.1 OREB per game). On the other side of the ball, he has a high motor and protects the rim really well. Doesn’t have much of a game outside of the paint, however, his game is needed and fits well at most schools.
Most scouting websites have him slotted as a MM level big. Reportedly receiving MM/HM interest.

Holloway joins Northwestern G Jayden Reid and Pitt transfer G Brandin Cummings as incoming HM+ transfers in the backcourt.

Here’s a look at new Memphis 6’3” G Luke Almodovar.
The analytics viewed Almodovar’s offense very favorably last season:
- 92nd percentile in Offensive RAPM (2.4) on an 85th percentile usage rate (25.1%)
- Finished 60% of FG at the rim
- 86th percentile in PER / 91st percentile in WARP
Not a liability on defense (slightly above average DRAPM), so his offensive impact will be a very nice spark off the bench for Memphis next season.
