One of the best bigs left in the portal is FAU transfer 6’10” Devin Williams. He tells me he’s recently heard from the following:
- Arizona (visiting tomorrow)
- North Carolina
- Virginia Tech
- Oklahoma
- Lots of other HM+ schools
Williams finished top-3 in the country in blocks last season, establishing himself as one of the most elite rim protectors. His 11.1% BLK rate placed him in the 98th percentile. Offensively, he inserted himself as a lob threat with the ability to knock down open jumpers.
Averaged 7.5 PPG 5.2 REB and 2.6 BLK per game last season in 23.8 MIN.

One of the best rebounders in the portal, Williams was in the 90th percentile for OREB% (12.9%) and the 88th percentile for DREB% (20.9%). Completed a zoom with Memphis staff already. UAB, Boston College, James Madison, FAU, Tulsa, Charlotte, Temple + others are also in contact with Williams.

Here’s a look at new Memphis 6’7” wing Tylik Weeks.
- 99th percentile in USG% (30%)
- 99th percentile in FTA per game (8.0 FTA)
- 92nd percentile in FT% (82.3%)
Production was there last year scoring 19+ a game. Shooting numbers were inefficient, mostly due to taking a very high amount of tough shots (81.4% of jumpers OTD). Touch is definitely there though (82.3% FT), and that’s a big indicator of shooting abilities. So, I wouldn’t worry too much about his shooting splits from last season.
A lot to like about Weeks’ game. A huge pickup on the wing, and it gives Memphis more than 1 creator on the court… something that they didn’t have the luxury of having last year.

Weeks just completed a visit to Ole Miss last week, and it’s widely viewed as a battle between those two teams for Weeks. Weeks is one of the best offensive wings in the transfer portal and would be a major pickup for Memphis.

NEWS: Memphis is set to hire Kansas State strength and conditioning coach Phil Baier in the same role, per multiple sources.
“I want to do my part to help get the program back to the level it should be.”
