I had the opportunity to participate in the #WHO regional Meeting on #Drowning Prevention and share #Lebanon progress in addressing #drowning as a largely preventable yet neglected public health threat. This meeting reinforced the need for coordinated actions & stronger policies.

@DrSamarHajj addressed the devastating toll of #war injuries in #Lebanon, with the disproportionate impact on Women, children and elderly and the deliberate targeting of healthcare workers and facilities. These systematic attacks represents a clear violation of #IHL @FHS_AUB

@DrSamarHajj highlights research showing Lebanon’s high rates of #drowning #injuries, especially among males and children. As summer approaches, the research calls for urgent multisectoral action, from public awareness and training to safe water infrastructure. @FHS_AUB

In her interview on #TheResearcher, @DrSamarHajj spotlighted a silent epidemic in Lebanon: Road Traffic Injuries #RTI, especially among young males often linked to speed and risk-taking behavior, calling for targeted awareness to prevent these loses. @FHS_AUB @LBCILebanon
