@AKasingye Bro, if you have land big enough to accommodate 24 cows, kindly use it for coffee farming. In 2 years, with the same investment, you'll be able to harvest coffee worth 10-20M, & in the 3rd or 4th year you'll be able to harvest coffee worth 50M every season. Thank me later.

#UnpopulaOpinion #673. If you have land or have a relative or friend who can freely allow you use his/hers, buy a calf every month at about 500k with your salary or small income & fatten it. In 2ys, you will have 24 bulls/cows that you would sell each at 3.5m. At 84m minus inputs, you will smile all the way to the bank with 50m. Don’t say I didn’t tell you!

STOP IMPUNITY, STAY IN YOUR LANE!
Driver of the Ford pickup UA 065BQ made a U-Turn on Buganda Road and drove in the opposite direction in total disregard of the one way road regulations and safety of other road users.
This type of reckless behavior is more associated with rogues driving around, mostly in government registered vehicles and those numberless SUVs. They have little regard of safety.
Dear @sylmulinge, if this is one of your team members @mtnug, you may need to send them for a quick course on road etiquette, or if you donated this vehicle, then they should scrape off the branding. Otherwise, as KCCA cleans the streets, we expect your team to model responsibility and champion safety.
Together we can make a difference, make our roads safe and save lives.
Thank you.

@DenisDukeUG @chrisbrown I’m wondering if ‘absent father/mother’ might play a role here. Among the 15 weddings, how many had both the bride’s and groom’s parents still (happily) married and living together? And for the couples who later divorced, how many grew up in homes without a father/mother present?
English

Last year alone I attended in total 15 weddings and I was over the moon about it because well, my friends had chosen commitment over lejaleja.
However that happiness didn’t last because as of today, only 4 of them are still married while the rest are back on the streets.
That statistic alone is heartbreaking. 15 weddings and only 4 still standing says a lot about the times we’re in. We celebrate the wedding day louder than we prepare for the marriage life.
Lately, People invest in Venues, Photos, Hashtags, Matching outfits and forget to invest in Emotional maturity, Conflict resolution, Financial discipline, Forgiveness and Patience which are marriages most important pillars.
I’m not an expert in Relationship or Marriage but one thing I know is they aren’t sustained by vibes, chemistry, or even love alone. They survive on character. And sometimes what breaks homes isn’t cheating or abuse, it’s Ego, Constant disrespect, Social media comparisons, Unhealed childhood trauma and Refusing to grow
The scary part is Most couples don’t separate because they fell out of love. No.
They separate because they never built the tools to handle pressure.
Someone will ask, after seeing 11 marriages collapse, what did it teach you? Because sometimes God lets us witness patterns so we don’t repeat them.
Well, I decided to pay attention to the 4 standing ones and I realized that there was communication, parental guidance, prayerful and willingness towards making the marriage work.
End of tweet.

@MuhamadiMatovu In hindsight, perhaps it was quite foresighted of the fund to acquire it 🤔

Temangalo 2008:In 2008, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Temangalo land scandal involved Security Minister Amama Mbabazi, Finance Minister Ezra Suruma, and businessman Amos Nzeyi. They were accused of influence peddling and corruption after selling 414 acres of land to NSSF for sh11.2 billion (sh24 million per acre).
Critics alleged the price was inflated compared to independent valuations from Knight Frank (sh18m), East African Consulting Surveyors (sh16m), and Associated Consulting Surveyors (sh14m). Despite a parliamentary probe finding Mbabazi used his clout to force the sale, he and Suruma were ultimately cleared by Parliament, though NSSF management was later sacked for mismanagement.
