Kevin Durant says guards 6'2" and under are no longer at a premium as NBA starters
“I don’t know if the 6'2" and under guard is at a premium no more as a starter. Maybe as a backup. You can’t get picked on defense because we’re playing such a pick-on game that they will literally, if you can’t guard, bring you up every play”
“If you’re 6 feet, 6'1", and you’re not a bulldog like Davion Mitchell or Jrue Holidays on the defensive side, or you’re not an offensive flat-out savant like Kyrie, where you can score on dudes seven feet easily in an iso, then I just can’t see it”
“Nowadays, offenses are giving the ball to their best player. I don’t care if you’re 6'9" or 6'10". If you’re out on that perimeter, Paolo Banchero out there, bring up Darius Garland. Those guards at that size, it’s going to be tough”

@PaulHudrick Yea… they were wired real tough vs the Knicks. Stats do not equal winning players. VJ’s growth is going to be stunted. They are a first round elimination
English

@SamQuinnCBS None of these teams are on the same level as the Knicks, most of them are first round exits. The sixers are the 2012 lakers, the heat are not talented enough, the pistons were exposed in the post season. The one who could improve are the raptors if the trade goes through
English

@BrettSiegelNBA Do you actually watch basketball? In the year 2026 how is this team remotely close to the Knicks? I’m not even sure they’re better than Cleveland.
English

@LegionHoops @GilsArenaShow Not a superstar? He is the best player in the world but okay clown
English

Gilbert Arenas says Jalen Brunson isn’t a superstar:
“No, but he could be. You got the Jalen Brunson shoes? Did you go get the new Jalen Brunson shoes?”
(via @GilsArenaShow)
English

@WadexFlash They would not even win 50 games and they would struggle to win a game in a series against the Knicks. This is a disaster in the making
English

@BetEdgeCash @PolymarketHoops Are you stupid? Do you actually watch games? Or box scores and maybe highlights.
Just the absurd stupidity is your statement is scary
English

@PolymarketHoops I don’t see Brunson as the face of the league. He had a great squad behind him. He’s not Jokic carrying a whole team
English

Anthony Edwards says Jalen Brunson is more of a 'face of the league' player than he is:
“I think the face of the league comes with a lot of responsibilities, and I think one of those is winning a championship. I haven’t done that yet. Maybe Jalen Brunson or one of those guys.” ✊

@KevinOConnor How is it when Brad Stevens does it it’s national discourse, and when Presti does it it’s a smart move?!?!
English

OKC trading Lu Dort might be purely about the money. But finances could also be a convenient excuse.
Dort was borderline unplayable against the Spurs. He’s a shaky shooter. He’s never been a shot creator. And he may already be past his peak defensively. Plus, his minutes were blocking backcourt players who could end up better.
My gut says this move is the Thunder getting off a guy one year before everyone realizes they should.

@RiqWooIen The west top teams are better? The best team in the league is in the east and just blasted through the entire playoffs. So this theory is based on what?
English

Why I Believe LeBron Will Choose The Sixers:
- East is the easier conference, i feel as though the East is deeper but the West Top End teams are better than the East top end teams
- Best roster, from shooting around him, not having to be a main scorer, having one of the most dominant scoring centers in NBA History, having a decent bench + depth so he will have the ability to load manage
- Goat convo: Adds a possible 4th team he could bring a ring to
- Championship winning coach in Nick Nurse
- His connection to Maxey and his respect to Embiid
- Chance to be a teacher to a very young VJ Edgecomb
Less work and a complete team for LBJ to compete for his 5th and possibly 6th rings

English

@SixersLead No your a 45-50 win team who maybe wins a round if team is healthy. This is not 2017 and not one of your players can play off ball. This is gonna blow up badly
English

@SpursCulture He is without question the best player in the world, there is not another player that strikes fear into other teams going into the last quarter like him. That’s a fact and tells the entire story, I used to respect your fan base but the lack of respect you show him and the Knicks
English

They gotta rename that award, cause not a single soul believes he's the best pro basketball player
Fullcourtpass@Fullcourtpass
Jalen Brunson is the HUGE favorite to win best pro basketball player at the ESPYS, Via Kalshi: 89% — Jalen Brunson 10% — Victor Wembanyama 3% — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
English

@menknicksusa Yeah it’s very easy to trade embiid - wish I thought of it.
English

@Johndavis76ers @B_McGLOCK Yea…. That’s not gonna happen but good luck
English

@menknicksusa @B_McGLOCK VJ by the end of the season will be better than bridges and Philon will clear Alvarado too. 76ers would have the best chance to compete for a title in the east. Knicks had one devil magic magnet ball playoff run all of the comebacks you guys had wont happen vs experienced teams
English

@C_Reilly5 But he wasn’t, if your good you contribute to winning. Roster was it was very talented and the results were a disgrace
English

@menknicksusa The team wasn’t good for most of the 2000s let’s be real
I’m just saying he was good

ESPN’s Heat pitch to LeBron:
“James, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo might represent the most athletic and versatile frontcourt in NBA history. Defensively, Antetokounmpo and Adebayo would shoulder most of the defensive burden, and the fast-break options are terrifying to imagine.
There are spacing and shooting concerns, and the asset cupboard is bare after the trade to get Antetokounmpo, but trusting Erik Spoelstra, Pat Riley and Andy Elisburg to maximize a season is always a good bet.
An interesting X factor is the offensive system the Heat installed last season, from consultant Noah LaRoche, that teaches a style that largely eliminates pick-and-rolls, a play James has thrived in for decades.”

English

@JWeinbachNBA That’s a play in team and if everything broke right it’s a 6 seed. Talent level did not raise
English

The Pacers have formed one of the deepest teams in the league.
PG: Tyrese Haliburton
SG: Andrew Nembhard
SF: Aaron Nesmith
PF: Pascal Siakam
C: Ivica Zubac
TJ McConnell
Ben Sheppard
Kelly Oubre Jr.
Obi Toppin
Jarace Walker
Jay Huff
Larry Nance Jr.
Johnny Furphy
Indiana is loaded with talent, versatility, and depth.
English

The Miami Heat needs to go all-in for the Giannis Antetokounmpo build:
- salary dump Nikola Jovic to create more flexibility
- sign Bradley Beal on the minimum
- sign Demar Derozan for the minimum after he gets bought out
- sign Khris Middleton on the minimum
- sign LeBron James with the MLE
Contenders.
