@ToffeeCardinal Give Moyes 200 million in the summer and you’ll see a collection of age 28+ “Premier League experienced” dynamos unlike any ever assembled.

Give Moyes 200 million in the summer you’ll still get performances like this and tactics like this. He’s not capable of anything other than this.

A national disgrace… “I don’t know”, “not that I can remember”, was all we got from Chief Constable Kate Meynell. Her son was in the horrible WhattsApp group. No acceptance, comment. Candour?? By any officer in that group. So this is normal for you. Begrudging acceptance of wrong doing. Reluctant apology to @nottslive With so much your force did wrong, you should be ashamed. But not you, you portrayed a sense of ‘cant be bothered’. At press briefings, you say, didn’t look at or examine detail ??? Really??? Made a mockery of answering questions at a statutory inquiry. DISGRACE
Oliver Pridmore@OliverPridmore

A significant moment in the Nottingham attacks inquiry. Nottinghamshire Police's Chief Constable has admitted it was a "mistake" to complain about @nottslive to @IpsoNews after we reported about being made to sign an NDA. @nat_fahy @JoshHartley70 nottinghampost.com/news/nottingha…

@AaronBastani True - all that debating, voting and free speech malarky does get in the way of long term state planning - they were smart to swerve it all.

Watching Iran, and its diaspora, I can’t help but have incredible respect for the Chinese people. The CCP/CPC repeatedly did insane things (impacting people including the fathers of Xi Jinping and the founder of Huawei, to different extents). But the populace understood that a breakdown in state authority, and an intervention by foreign powers, would be a disaster for the country (obviously there are many references to this in Chinese history and literature). All this in a culture with an ancient right of rebellion when things go wrong. Far older than anything in the Western tradition (Locke, for instance). As a country and a people they deserve all the success and prosperity the 21st century now appears to be bestowing on them. Rather than balkanise they’ve attained the status of global power.

Sky’s “in the box” rightly going down as well as their efforts to appeal to women on social media. Aside from the truly awful nature of the concept, Gary Lineker is a Leicester fan…

Breaking: The government says that Matthew Collins, the Deputy National Security adviser was entirely responsible for the evidence given to the CPS in the China spy trial 'The Deputy National Security adviser was given full freedom to provide evidence without interference' The government confirms that the evidence - based on the integrated review at the time - did not designate China as an enemy and a threat to national security But there was plenty of evidence at the time - from the heads of MI5 and MI6, and government statements - that China was considered a threat to national security This inevitably leads to questions about what evidence Matthew Collins gave and whether the government is willing to publish it More broadly it leads to questions about why Collins declined to describe China as a threat to national security, despite extensive contemporaneous evidence to the contrary Dan Jarvis, the security ministers, says: 'Ministers were aware that evidence was being provided to support CPS. They did not take advice and they were not sighted on the contents. The Deputy National Security adviser was given full freedom to provide evidence without interference'

@StreetStephen Great to see you again - albeit briefly. It was an epic night. So pleased for them and to have them back. I’m off to see Nick Heyward tonight - what a time to be alive! I’m all about the melodic guitar pop / rock this week… Well, most weeks, to be fair. 😎

Currently experiencing the horribly overcrowded 17.43 Lime Street to Euston...@AvantiWestCoast - a joke service...@AndyBurnhamGM
George Farr@gfarr92

@AvantiWestCoast you’ve got to allow ticket acceptance today. You can’t have 3 trains going into one from lime street to Euston from 5,43 to 7.43 I assume you will allow us to get to Crewe on another service and then join Avanti from there without any challenge?

@pollybirkbeck I saw them a couple of months later at the 100 Club. Despite it being March, the place was so full and hot that sweat evaporated onto the ceiling before condensing and then raining on us. 😳💦
