“I was spotted by the Energy Minister, who recommended me to the President, and that is how my beautiful story started. The Energy Minister came to the yard one evening around 10 p.m. and found me in the trench pulling out armoured cables. He was so impressed.” — Stephanie Baan, the National Service personnel at GRIDCo who was recommended for immediate employment by President Mahama for her active role in restoring power during the recent power outage

@Fentuo_ What would have been the alternative flight path? And oh at least business class should have been it.

It is ONLY in Ghana that we think investment in sports must end up as sunk cost. We think sports business must run like a charity institution. The reason why there is no money for all other sport disciplines but the Black Stars. They remain our most profitable “sports investment”

President of Ghana Athletics tells @SportyFM_: "The athletes were aware of the tickets booked for them and I didn't see any complaints." Also says Ibrahim Fuseini missed his flight from the US, leading to multiple rebookings and cancellations — all paid for by Ministry.

It’s not about the bear. It’s about why that feels safer.

The Ministry of Sports in Ghana needs to better, don’t set us for failure. If it was “black stars” flights tickets will be ready month prior to their game. 14hrs flight 16hrs lay over is not acceptable for professional athletes. We running with jet lag,no proper recovery.

@eastsportsman Ask Saminu how many times he changed tickets for this trip and at whose cost and again ask him what happened when they missed their flights again at whole cost? In all of this whose fault was it? They must be truthful!
