Your presence made the occasion deeply meaningful and memorable. I am particularly honoured by the support and fellowship of our Chief Guest, @WilliamsRuto, whose presence added great significance to the day. I also wish to express my appreciation to my boss and friend, Health Cabinet Secretary @HonAdenDuale; the ODM Party leader, Oburu Odinga; Kenya’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Canon Dr Ida Betty Odinga; and the Head of Public Service, Felix Koskei, who led many public servants — including Cabinet Secretaries and my colleague Permanent Secretaries — in joining us for this special moment of gratitude and reflection. I am equally grateful to the thousands of friends, colleagues at @MOH_Kenya, health professionals — including Community Health Promoters — and well-wishers who travelled from far and wide to celebrate with my family. Your prayers, encouragement and solidarity are a powerful reminder of the strength of community, service and faith. Above all, I give thanks to the Almighty God for His grace, guidance and abundant blessings. This thanksgiving was an opportunity to reflect with humility on the journey thus far and to renew our commitment to serve our nation and communities with diligence, integrity and compassion. May the spirit of thanksgiving continue to inspire us all. May God richly bless you for your goodwill, friendship and unwavering support.

🎊Big problems require bold ideas and even greater collaboration. 🎉 We were privileged to host and partner with 15 Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Women's Rights Organizations (WROs) from Nairobi, Mombasa, Kilifi, Nyeri, and Meru Counties to strengthen our collective efforts in responding to and preventing gender-based violence at the community level. Ambitious? Yes. But not impossible. In the next three years, we will work with young women (18-35 years) who are survivors and at risk of gender-based violence in these five counties. Collectively, we aim to restore dignity by providing legal and counseling services, and enhancing access to affordable financial services, products, and skilling opportunities.
