@moniza_hossain Your experience may be better than mine, but most of the bookstores I visited seemed actively annoyed about getting a physical arc and like I was wasting their time. This was the same at large chains and small stores.

Also, it’s very normal for a legally blind person or low vision individual like the person in this video to have even worse accessibility tools during lectures. I had to deal with this exact scenario in undergrad and law school.

Yes, I can imagine, because for many years blind people (like the person in the video) didn’t have access to even these great features. We didn’t get a copy of slides at all and completely missed out on the material. What you guys think of as “bad UX” is infinitely better than

The discourse around this reminds me that most people don't think high achieving disabled people exist and also do not understand how they use assistive tech in a realistic scenario. The cultural infantilization of the disabled is the biggest thing holding back accessibility
