As an editor obsessed with indie startups, I started writing about them at earlybeat.net. Every week, we cover the top five launches so you don’t get lost in the noise. We filter it for you.

@salok_kuma76284 Marketing for me. I can build the thing fine. Getting anyone to actually notice it is where I keep stalling out. Coding feels like the solved part now. Attention doesn't.

If you could instantly master one skill... Sales? Marketing? Coding? Leadership? Hiring? Which would you choose?

@founder_sohan For non technical people proof is usually just this. It worked when they needed it, and it didn't embarrass them in front of a customer. A latency chart never moved anyone I showed it to.

backend devs have logs, metrics, and architecture diagrams. but do stakeholders care about 99th percentile latency? what actually qualifies as "proof" for non-technical eyes?

@riyadbkhsh A good product, and being generous with the trial. Let them use the real thing before they owe you anything. Trust tends to follow use, it rarely shows up before it.

@enodrift Honestly I'd spend them not building. Eight quiet hours just talking to the few users I have would beat another feature.

@Krithika_Reddy1 The forging part is real, but it depends a lot on what happens after. Adversity broke plenty of people too. The ones I admire didn't just survive it. They went back later and made something out of it.

Your true character isn't revealed in good times. It's revealed in bad ones. Anyone can feel confident when life is easy. Character is built when everything goes wrong. The people you admire weren't created by comfort. They were forged through adversity.

@stejas809 Power was never really the thing being decided though. Cost, the work laptop, whatever the team already runs on. Most of the good devs I know are on Windows and never think about it once.

100% agree. That’s why ClimbX always keeps a human in the loop. I’ve lost users because I refuse to automate everything for them. But fully automated posting is not the way to grow on X. AI should help. The human should stay in control.
Nikita Bier@nikitabier

We found 42,000 accounts automating replies using chatbots and have removed them from the platform. X's core value is providing an authentic pulse on humanity -- and using AI to programmatically engage with users without a human in the loop runs counter to our mission.

@an_engineer_log Same feeling on the harder ones. It lands on a good answer early, then reasons its way back out of it. But on simple stuff more thinking still helps me.

@mikeydsoftware Honestly this is underrated. Being reachable is nice, but being a reply monster quietly turns into a job you never agreed to.

I switched from the $100 plan on @claudeai to the $20 plans on @OpenAI , @claudeai and @GeminiApp. Unfortunately, I’m hitting limits on both very soon. Anyone in same boat like me ? How do you limit your tokens?

@OrieanResearch Honestly the "no I'm good" part was fair. The output really was rough back then. The miss wasn't the judgment, it was reading a single snapshot instead of the direction it was already moving.

@yope_app Appreciate the straight answer. Keeping the existing circle as the default and making the rest opt-in feels like the right call. Excited to see it when it ships.

@mesty_asin great question! we’re actually building this. launch is coming up soon: a way to customize your profile and find people who share your interests, right in the app. but it’ll be opt-in only. your existing circle stays the default, opening up to new people is entirely up to you🙌

there's no algorithm on yope deciding what you see. no For You page, nothing to optimize for engagement. just the people you added, and what their day actually looked like.

@mikeydsoftware What would make it feel worth it for you? I ask because mine kept moving. Every time I hit the number I set, I just wanted a new one, and that turned out to be the actual problem.

@omarvvvr Claude. Though the value didn't show up where I expected. Not the code quality. It was that I stopped putting off the boring parts of building. The thing I'm working on just moved faster because I stalled less.
