performative posting is the other half of it. even "close friends" is still an audience. just a smaller stage. yope removes both at the structural level. no feed to fall into. no view count to check. no algorithm deciding what gets shown.

you don't even open yope to see an update from your best friend. it's already there on your lock screen, before you even unlock your phone.

@mesty_asin great question! we’re actually building this. launch is coming up soon: a way to customize your profile and find people who share your interests, right in the app. but it’ll be opt-in only. your existing circle stays the default, opening up to new people is entirely up to you🙌

@yope_app I really like this part. But it makes me wonder about the other side. With no algorithm, how do you find new people to add in the first place? Once your people are in, it sounds great. The finding part is what I can't picture yet.
