I play guitar for The Exiled Martyr, and I read comic books.

In the book he dies trying to save his little brothers. In House of the Dragon he just dies. Another moment lessened due to a pointless deviation.

#HouseOfTheDragon Showrunner Ryan Condal explains why Rhaena took over the storyline originally held by Nettles in the source material. 🐉 “It just felt to us that because again, this story is told in point of view, that it felt more apt as this is a family story to where we had the opportunity to involve one of the family members in the storyline. And because Rhaena has been set up since season 1 as the member of this family wdoesn’t have a dragon and basically her sole identity is the Targaryen kid wdoesn’t have a dragon, it felt like that was a character that we had already set this long runway for that it could be very satisfying for the TV audience that didn’t have an experience with the book at all to see that character claim a dragon and then in a very, I think, Game of Thrones and Westerosian kind of way, to reap the consequences of having her wish come true. It’s a very monkey’s paw kind of moment for Rhaena. She gets her great wish and it becomes her greatest nightmare.” (za.ign.com/game-of-throne…)

The way people discuss this show is nuts. In what world would a Queensguard ignore her and follow her son's orders instead? Maybe a relentlessly patriarchal one this show is about and which Rhaenyra explicitly laments minutes after this? Close some tabs and you'll spot this stuff

His death wasn't that sad it was in Fire&Blood cuz of how stupid they changed it from the book Instead of showing us how Jace risked his life to save his little brothers, we got this blaming Rhaena and Sheepstealer They suck at writing and i feel sad for George seeing his shit
