its so surreal to have spent almost a decade watching metro be a lolcow in the OW community and now that i started playong deadlock every pro player in this game is also clowning him

Seeing lots of post wondering why TC hasn't been used in recent comp matches (DLNS Qual / R1).
Explanation from players / coaches is that the 15% penalty is too much of a hit to lane tempo for the laning meta we have atm. Since it also impacts damage done to guardian.

@bsqt__ I think he is the only spirit guy that can nuke people in the early game while still being able to fuck the entire enemy team in late game with afflicition.
All the base healing abilities in the game got better and with dynamo and kelvin being meta, pocket is a nobrainer.

@H3ckboy Victor got a lot better but he was very weak before this patch. Winrate alone is not indicative of hero performance but if you wanna put Victor high A I'm down.
Just think some of the other carries are even better (Warden does what he does but better in most games).

@Metro_DL Didn't Victor winr rate jump the most in like every bracket. Plus AP changes help him a ton

@hotboyEVO Sinclair is absolutely broken the only reason hes not S+ is because he sometimes (rarely) doesnt get enough good ults to steal in random Matchmaking.
Rest of his kit is crazy either way.

@Metro_DL Geist too low. A lot of the changes worked in her favor. Esp getting more AP quickly as she has more efficient AP upgrades than most.

Personal Performance does affect you ranking up or down in Deadlock now. We don't know the actual parameters for it but people are dropping faster if they perform badly and vice versa.
Idk about the commends affecting it, hopefully not.

#deadlock Valve has quietly rolled out a major overhaul of the ranking system. Everything works differently now: • Top-tier stats (MVPs, top damage, objective scores, and team commendations) significantly accelerate your rank-up speed. • Win streaks now carry much more weight. • Lobby balancing now accurately reflects your current rank. • Match history (including the "difficulty" of past games) is aggregated to provide an additional boost to your rank. • Player commendations now have a substantial impact on ranking speed; the more you are praised, the faster you climb. • Rank adjustments now occur approximately 6 times faster than before.
