PSG winning the CL didn't help the league at all 😭😭😭😭. Not one person has bought a TV package to watch Rennes v Angers because PSG won a trophy last year. The clubs have gotten poorer with the exception of like 4 clubs, 2 of whom are Strasbourg and the Qataris

It certainly reflects best on PSG, but surely the reputation of Ligue 1 can only improve by having the Champions League winners rather than have it's best club go out at, say, the quarter-finals? And it's not just PSG. Strasbourg could feasibly overturn their deficit against Mainz on Thursday and go deeper in the Conference League. Yes, there's not the same kudos there, but Ligue 1 is in a position where every little helps. Had Lyon, Monaco or Marseille made it this far, they would also have benefited. So yes, it reflects best on PSG, but imo there's a greater spin off.

Earlier this season a journalist took a plug out of a socket at Vallecas to charge his laptop and it completely wiped out the power at Vallecas.
It turned out this one plug essentially powered the whole of the ground.
That's just one of hundreds of stories you could tell to sum up how badly Rayo are run and yet this team and their coach are in a European semi final.
Rayo have one of the best fanbases you can experience and they have had to suffer so many humiliating experiences from their owner they truly deserve moments like this.
