So much of my revision process goes something like this: book: hey everyone goes on & on about how badass this wizard is but we never see him actually do anything amazing me: sh*t gotta fix that book: I now have two more badass scenes than I had before thank you you may go now

@SDDonovan Given the llms are trained on human written works, it's no surprise ai "detectors" flag a majority of works as AI. The em-dash bullshit a prime example. I'm always surprised they don't flag every work employing "and" and "the".

Do you know how to know I don't use AI? There's always typos in my books, lol. Not a lot, but they sneak in. 🤣

I failed. I was supposed to show off the beautiful new covers that @jeffbrown67 created for @ZB_Steele yesterday. But here they are in all their glory.

@Vcc524Vivian @BenGalley I just checked the map and found three close to one another that I can get to easily by bus. Got lots of books to get rid of and "real" libraries are usually too picky about what they accept.

@BenGalley Every one in my area is at least a 40 min walk, lol! I did make my way to the two nearest recently to drop off 8 books. Only a zillion more trips to donate the rest, lol! But a much needed winnowing and I prefer donating somewhere the new owners don't have to pay.

@rynn_mansman Absolutely. Just don't let all the bells and whistles overwhelm you. Use it like you would Word, while checking out all the unfamiliar stuff via instruction videos to see what will be useful enough to learn.

Is Scrivener worth the one-time cost? I've never used it and need some insight! #writingcommunity

@NoahIsaacsBooks @luke_tarzian Even a good cover can lie about what's inside. Like all truisms, there's a grain of truth there. A good cover should guide you to looking further into a book, then pull the trigger if it looks worthy.
