🚨HUGE: New US intelligence report says Iran's military capability is FAR from destroyed.
Key findings:
1. 50% of missile launchers still intact
2. Thousands of drones remain operational
3. Coastal cruise missiles mostly untouched
4. Underground storage makes targeting near-impossible
The threat across the Gulf remains very real.

For those unaware, SpaceX has already shifted focus to building a self-growing city on the Moon, as we can potentially achieve that in less than 10 years, whereas Mars would take 20+ years.
The mission of SpaceX remains the same: extend consciousness and life as we know it to the stars.
It is only possible to travel to Mars when the planets align every 26 months (six month trip time), whereas we can launch to the Moon every 10 days (2 day trip time). This means we can iterate much faster to complete a Moon city than a Mars city.
That said, SpaceX will also strive to build a Mars city and begin doing so in about 5 to 7 years, but the overriding priority is securing the future of civilization and the Moon is faster.

What’s interesting about this situation to me is it seems the players (the guys in the building with Rodgers every day) are the ones leading the charge to bring him back next year.
According to the ESPN reporting, it sounds like just about everyone in the Steelers locker room told the team in their exit interviews that they want Rodgers to come back next season, and I feel like that wouldn’t be the case if they felt like he couldn’t play anymore/was holding the offense back from being more productive than it could have been this season. Apparently it was similar in New York last offseason where a lot of the players in that building wanted to keep Rodgers around for another year and were upset when they decided to part ways with him.
Makes me wonder if it’s possible that the context of the last 3 situations he’s been in from 2022-2025 has played a role in the efficiency numbers we’ve gotten from him during that stretch.
In 2022, he played much of the season with a broken thumb on his throwing hand & his #1 receiver that year was Allen Lazard because he lost Davante & he still almost willed that team to the playoffs that year regardless.
In 2024, that Jets situation was so disastrous from top to bottom I don’t think really any QB could have had strong efficiency numbers with the way that offense was coordinated & how bad that O-line was (even with Wilson & Adams at WR), how the defense completely crumbled after Saleh was fired and the kicking unit missing a ton of kicks as well, not to mention Aaron played through some more injuries that season as well including a partially torn hamstring.
Then in 2025, I thought he managed the season pretty well considering he only had one legitimate starting WR to work with the entire year and zero receivers that could consistently separate vs. the man coverage they saw all year long. It also didn’t help that his OC prioritized playing Jonnu Smith more than his 2nd best downfield receiving threat on the entire team in Pat Freiermuth.
And despite downfield passing opportunities being limited for Rodgers all season long, he got the ball out and avoided taking a ton of drive killing sacks, generally did a good job protecting the ball, was good in the red zone, and helped the offense lead the NFL in YAC by finding ways to get the ball to the playmakers he did have at his disposal in space which helped the unit be above league average in scoring offense and the best offense the Steelers have had in many seasons (not that that’s saying a ton). But the fact that last year’s offense was even serviceable/average with the lack of WR talent they had, you could argue is a credit to Rodgers, and it seems like a lot of the players on the team would agree with me on that.
Is it really that crazy to think that if they can get Aaron a couple more legit, starting-caliber weapons at WR this offseason (which is very doable with the team’s cap & draft resources) along with the rest of the players that they have on the offense currently that they could open up the downfield passing game more & allow the offense as a whole to take a step forward in Rodgers’ 2nd year with the team?
Personally, I think there’s worse plans for PIT than going with Rodgers for 1 more season, give McCarthy a year to develop/evaluate Howard/any other younger QB options they bring in this year, then make a decision on a long-term QB plan when the QB market (should) be better in 2027.
To be clear, there are other QB plans I could get behind as well, such as taking a risk on Malik Willis in free agency, but I don’t think Rodgers returning for another year on a cheap, team-friendly deal would be the worst possible strategy to pursue like some seem to think it would be.

The McCarthy hire was/is a tough sell on many levels, but it's clear that the org was convinced that he could fix their QB issues. To not even try to develop someone in 2026 and waste another season would be a baffling decision. I don't know how much more evidence we need that Aaron isn't someone that can take you anywhere worth pursuing. 2022: Packers EPA/play- 21st Success rate- 21st 2023: (Achilles) 2024: Jets EPA/play- 19th Success rate-24th 2025: Steelers EPA/play- 22nd Success rate- 28th You cannot continue to do this lol
