We're celebrating the #PlatinumJubilee by sharing pictures of the oldest Elizabeth II #postboxes - this is the first ever installed, at Whitehall, 6 November 1952. It is a Type A made by McDowell, Steven & Co. Note the small aperture, a design feature changed in 1957 - SW1 200
