Think it's weird that 🇨🇦 uses a mix of metric and imperial systems? Wait until you get to Eastern Canada. Grocery stores sell 4 litres of milk, but it's split into *3* frickin bags. Obviously, 1,333.33333333333333... milliliters of liquid in a bag is a natural measure. 🙄😂

@bcshaffer FT-D deliveries curtailed for Jan 12th in WGAT. I believe that includes a number of intra AB deliveries as well as Foothills exports.

@bcshaffer First notices came out yesterday curtailing firm delivery and have only gotten worse as the day has progressed.

@bcshaffer Not to mention gas curtailments also affecting gas fleet in the Calgary area. So not just a renewables issue.

In all seriousness, the constant slagging of “wind isn’t blowing/sun isn’t shining” gets tiring. They’re not dispatchable capacity resources. This is not news. We need flexible options coupled with the cheap raw energy renewables provide for an efficient reliable system.
