In Austin (blue) Texas (red), we got out of the way and just let developers build.
In NYC, LA, SF, and similar- they implemented performative policies, and rents have only gone up.

We have a MAJOR housing crisis. In 1991, the typical first-time home buyer was 28 years old. This year, that buyer was 40. Decent housing is a human right. Instead of tax breaks for billionaires, we need to invest in low income and affordable housing.
