I drive a 1972 MG Midget with 20,000 original miles+original paint. It's more fun than a barrel of monkeys! So am I! Goal: to have more fun.

@Hania16836 On the way to the airport to fly to Finland.
Then worrying about my ex-gf... who ended up surviving, thankfully.

@tansuoflz If an older guy wants to keep moving forward financially and a younger gal wants to get situated+learn...
this is hands down the way to go / best odds for success.

@SpireDomePillar And they think something that looks like an oil derrick somehow looks attractive. Sheesh!
Napoleon could fix this.

@TiffanyFong This has always been true.
Men start dropping like flies and moving around; then dropping like flies after 40.

@thecomputerclan It was really fast. I ran it on a Dell Pentium-3 laptop. MacOS was 25x slower.
I miss Display-Postscript and all the advanced features+efficiency it bestowed on the platform.

@_cat_turner What is the appeal of Culver City?
I know some artists who used to live there.
That's about it.

@InterstellrNews I paid $90 for the entire set on Bluray a few years ago.

@geoffrey_cain This book was extremely discourteous to NeXT. We kinda laughed at it when it came out.

@innoutburger_ You're abandoning your home state... the place that gave your parents and your family _everything_.
And your food hasn't kept up with current trends.
I mean c'mon- I think you can do better.
Why don't you just change your alert level from "surrender" to "hide?"

In-N-Out offers a $23.00 minimum starting pay in California, which is 15% more than the $20.00 per hour mandated minimum wage for fast-food workers. The company also does not advertise or rely on tips. Paying employees strong, competitive wages has long been a core philosophy for In-N-Out—one the company has upheld for decades.

"Overlooked Central Command" took out more than 6,000 one-way attack drones and 1,500 ballistic missiles aimed at US forces, Israel and Arab partners.

@MagellanQuest The US doesn't need cities right now.
We have excess housing.
But everyone now wants to cram into the old cities - which is genuinely unamerican.

@pure_slime She's not a good actress.
There are thousands of good actresses and a few great ones.
I don't get Star Wars they have access to the best and typically only enlist the mediocre.

i really like Rey's introduction, but i can't help but think how much more interesting it'd be if it weren't on yet another beige sand planet
Anish@filmicshailar
Rey's dialogue-less intro with Williams' theme gets me everytime

🤯 IN 1981, ANDRE GREGORY PREDICTED EXACTLY WHERE WE’RE GOING
In the cult film “My Dinner with Andre”, he delivers this chilling monologue to Wallace Shawn:
“We’re living in some kind of Orwellian nightmare created by a world totalitarian government based on money. Everything you hear now turns you into a robot.
New Yorkers exist in a state of schizophrenia — they’re both guards and prisoners. They’ve been lobotomized and can no longer even see the prison they’ve made.
The 1960s were the last burst of the human being before he was extinguished. From now on there’ll simply be robots walking around, feeling nothing, thinking nothing… and soon nobody will remember that there once was a species called a human being.”
45 years later… we’re living it.
Was this just fiction… or a prophecy?

@cremieuxrecueil What would be good is a financial claim to the coastal area all the way south to Acapulco.
So then you get certain shipping advantages that will become valuable, involving California, in the future.

A lot of nationalism is ridiculous, but this one has always felt the most ridiculous.
Mexico doesn't govern nearly a third of its territory. It can't even knock off drug smugglers!
Why should Mexico get to have more? So that even more land can be in a state of perma-crime?

@cremieuxrecueil The US took Mexico once and spat it out again, knowing it was too much of a liability to admit even as loose commonwealth.
There are really a lot of negatives there. Mostly geological+geographical

@HustleBitch_ What is supposed to happen is ~100 fans line up.
You get to ask your interested party one or two questions, get an autograph + a memorable experience, having probably heard him speak 20 minutes before
Very fun. But the resellers yeah they kinda ruin it.

🚨 RUSSELL CROWE LOSES IT ON FANS IN PARIS — “DON’T FU*KING PUSH IN ON ME!”
A heated clip of Russell Crowe is going viral after the actor suddenly stopped a crowd of autograph seekers in Paris and bluntly warned them to back off before things escalated.
“Stay where you are.”
“Don’t fu*king push in on me!”
“I’ll come to you.”
“As soon as somebody’s a dick, I'm gone.”
People online are now debating:
• whether celebrities are reaching a breaking point
• if autograph culture has become too aggressive
• and whether some “fans” are really just resellers chasing money
Now the comments are sounding off:
• “You can hear years of frustration in his voice.”
• “Those aren’t fans. Those are professional vultures.”
• “Celebrities are starting to hate the public.”
• “Honestly? I don’t even blame him.”
Was Russell Crowe justified here… or did he completely lose his cool?
