The #Giants "tried" to come to an agreement with Dexter Lawrence that would have kept him in New York. They couldn't agree on the structure. The offers made were not deemed good enough. Lawrence, however, never told the Giants an exact figure he was looking for (APY, GTD, etc). Still, New York was not looking to deal Lawrence. They wanted to keep him.

Being a sole voter isn’t necessarily a bad thing when you can defend your vote properly.
It’s much easier to make a case that Johnson was a deserving COTY or from Monson himself that Bowers was OROTY than it is for Justin Herbert to be MVP.

I was the Justin Herbert vote.
The guy had the worst offensive line in the NFL all season and despite that he was working miracles in almost every single game.
Stafford's OL became 2/5ths as bad as Herbert's for 5 minutes and he became a turnover howitzer.
He embodied 'value'.

Can you imagine if the Spurs drafted Knueppel instead of Harper? Even if Harper ends up better long-term, there's no denying Kon's elite shooting, versatile scoring, creation, and intangibles would've lifted San Antonio to another level today. Kon is already a top 50 player.
