@mhmilling @jayasax @Eater Thank you! Nadege Fleurimond's Haiti Uncovered is definitely one to check out. I also follow @ sendys_cooking on Instagram, she's got some great stuff there. And suzonspice.com also has a bunch of great recipes!

As a Haitian-American, I was appalled by the rumors about our eating habits & wanted to do all in my power to set the record straight—so I did. In my latest for @Eater, I spoke with Haitian chefs across the US about our food, our history, & why it matters: eater.com/2024/11/4/2428…

Just so you know I pinned your buddy @Jim_Jordan in 27 seconds in high school up here in Cleveland.
So if you feel man enough to wrestle me for charity, then bring it.

Please stfu. Reprimanding folks who are literally being beaten and demonized by this administration because they won’t vote for the d*ckhead frothing at the mouth to crush them is the pinnacle of jejune, myopic partisan drivel. That faction of the duopoly deserves nothing.

It's probably best not to engage with dead-enders who'd rather watch society burn than be adults & vote for Biden, or at least try to persuade rather than scold. But it's so damn frustrating they haven't already figured out at this late date that Trump is an existential threat.

It's long been a question: could all of humanity actually live within the Doughnut? Thanks to Hauke Schlesier et al it's just been quantified for the 1st time. And the answer is probably yes - if we transform to economies of sufficiency. Read more here: sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

The polycrisis is prefigured in Arrighi’s theory of hegemonic transition. Systemic cycles of accumulation culminate in chaos as conflict escalates & new & old rules compete.
Our new open access paper links the accumulation process & chaos using a logistic map. 🧶

@billscher @monthly How is choose your enemy different than lesser of two evils?

"I truly do not believe this is a lesser-of-two-evils type of situation. I think about what conditions do I want to be organizing under...I would rather be organizing under the conditions of Biden as an opponent on an issue than Trump who...seeks to dismantle American democracy"

In an interview with @AOC, Mehdi Hasan asks her “what do you say to a young progressive, or Arab-American, who says to you: “I just can’t vote for Biden again, after what he’s enabled in Gaza.” AOC: “I have a vested interest in protecting democracy not just here domestically, but globally.”

An honor to screen FINDING THE MONEY with @jasonhickel at UAB and discuss the exciting synthesis of #MMT w/ ecological economics and post growth visions for economies that thrive within planetary boundaries.
