@mhoward223 @Rajatsoni @MatrixMysteries That's the main purpose of insurance. The money one pays is in case something that rarely happens happens. If there is no payout, then what is the purpose of paying insurance?
English

@Rajatsoni @MatrixMysteries If she paid 4000 in annual premiums for 10 years, but gets a pay out of $400,000 for the insured value of her home, how is that fraud? Fraud is if they refused to pay the policy as agreed. She should have spent the 10% extra to get the rebuild value policy, not the insured value
English

@MatrixMysteries The goal of an insurance company is to pay out as little as possible
Insurance is just a transfer of risk from you to the company
They need to make a profit while making sure that your risk is covered
They need to scam as many people as possible to remain in business
English

@MikeHudema That's an interesting bump that started developing in the 90's and on. I wonder which country started increasing factory production in the late 80's and dramatically in the 90's to cause such an increase?

This is not good. Watch till the end. Global Temperature Graph 1880-Present.

@cwebbonline First measle vaccine CDC age at 12-15 months. RFK became Secretary of Health 2/13/25. Measle age groups in US; 40% in 5-19 age group, 33% 20+ age group, 26% under 5 (with majority in the 2-3 year age group) Your statement is factually incorrect.
English

@SenWarren You know what else is needed? Term limits. How about working on that?
English

@CNviolations Based on height and estimated weight...you're obese.
English

@tedlieu Just a reminder
It requires a 60 count Vote to pass in the senate.
A majority of Democrats have voted no multiple times preventing the 60 vote threshold
The democrats voted for ACA expanded subsidies to end in 2025
Democrats are fighting to increase tax payer burden
English

Today is Day 34 of the Republican shutdown. Your regular reminders:
1. Republicans control the White House, Senate and House.
2. GOP making deep cuts to Medicaid, Medicare and ACA.
3. Democrats are fighting to lower costs, cancel the cuts and save healthcare for Americans.
Rep. Ted Lieu@RepTedLieu
It’s worth repeating: Republicans control the White House, the Senate, and the House. If Donald Trump said end this shutdown today, Republicans would do it.
English

@SpencerHakimian What a crazy coincidence. This was released today from Obama's phone to Pelosi on January 5th

English

@MadhurKapoor12 @RepSwalwell How many votes are needed to pass a budget - 60
How many Republican Senators are there - 53
How many Democrat Senators voted no - all of them
You were saying?
English

@RepSwalwell Not surprising you don't know how the senate works. Sixty votes are required to pass a budget to surpass a filibuster. Only a budget reconciliation can be passed on a simple majority.
English

@RepSwalwell What else was in the democrat bill?
How many bills have the democrats voted against so far?
English

@GovPressOffice So your office is OK with the Senate Republicans ignoring the 60 vote total needed to pass legislation?
English

If you control all 3 branches of government, how are you not in charge?
Aaron Rupar@atrupar
Mike Johnson: "Democrats are required to open the government. They keep saying, 'Republicans are in charge of government.' We aren't!"
English

@DanCollins2011 So your recommendation is the U.S. adopt a system of government similar to China?
English

@gay_lumberjack Dental insurance is available. Most dentists don't accept it. The ADA says it "prevent insurers from interfering with patient care, and ensuring dentists can practice with autonomy" When in reality, it allows fee for service at the providers discretion.
English

@elonmusk Cool story. I can power my house for two weeks with my propane generator, and I don't need electricity to refill it.
English

@ZacksJerryRig Everyone trying to debate with this account not realizing he's just another paid influencer 🤣
English

@RichardAngwin @GavinNewsom @realDonaldTrump Premium for sneakers? Where the hell have you been? Nike has been at a premium for decades. Boohoo, "my Nikes now cost $200 instead of $150"
English

@GavinNewsom @realDonaldTrump Thanks to Trump's tariff tantrum, we're all paying premium for sneakers while he golfs in peace, real leadership would lace up solutions, not jack up prices.
English

@Craig_A_Spencer I remember a time when doctors were wanting to excuse care to patients based on what's piece of paper said. In fact, some physicians still refuse care based on a persons covid vaccine status.
English

In 18 years as an ER doc, I ask about immigration status about as often as I ask about insurance—which is never
My job is to respond to the person in front me, as if neither immigration or insurance matters
Because in that moment, neither of those things matter
So tell me, what do Americans want me to do when the person dying before me is undocumented? Let them die?
And what if they’re uninsured? Check that they’ve paid their monthly dues before I check their pulse?
We should stop making this an argument about providing emergency care to certain populations
And start asking how it reflects on us all if we’re truly willing to withhold care in those moments of emergency, just because of what a piece of paper might or might not say
Aaron Rupar@atrupar
REPORTER: Should ERs check immigration status before treating a dying patient? LEAVITT: That's probably not a question for me to answer. That's a question for healthcare professionals and legal experts to answer. (That's not a no!)
English

@elonmusk You're way behind Musk. Most of us have already canceled Netflix, Disney+ (Hulu), and most other woke streaming services.
