@Bosefina ooof, I've had a lot of conversations about this with friends recently. The way I work on this is by putting *investments in self* in the same mental bucket as other quality-of-life things with long-term benefits (friendship, reading, meditating). theatlantic.com/family/archive…

The only way I have ever justified investing in myself is by crunching the numbers. Has anyone found a way to overcome their frugal/rational brain to spend on what feels like guilty/self-indulgent self-improvement services like coaching, wellness retreats etc?
