So on the way up to the swingset today pictures to come later. We encountered this adolescent western diamondback rattlesnake. He was only about 18 inches long and gave us fair warning. Having heard that noise before I immediately stopped moving forward and focus my eyes to be able to spot him. He was about 100 feet from the swingset. Right in the middle of the road. #Karvan #Caravan #StarForge

@MeltingMoons_ Definitely discovered some things I’d do different, and I plan to get better hardware. Just make it more efficient to build, and give a cleaner look. But, for a model from scratch to 3D printed electronic art, I’m extremely happy with it. Would look cool with moons.

@Ducksonx Last year, I sat for about 2 hours watching one dig a hole, lay eggs, cover them, and back to the pond. I tried to mark it & see if I could monitor a hatch, but wasn’t able to. Be fun to see a turtle hatch in the wild. 😊

Just saved a turtle from becoming turtle soup on the driveway this morning. Scooped him up, set him in the grass like a hero. Bro was out here slow-walking into traffic like it was a safe 100x.
