If true, it’s the right thing to do. How many times have we heard the refrain, "Who's going to want your job if you fire somebody after they make the NCAA tournament once every now and then?" Well, apply that to the market now - why would someone take a job that would get them fired if they delivered with Davis delivered (while being a part of ‘the family’, A designation that the next guy probably won't have. Remember, in today’s college basketball landscape, a bad year or two is a much more likely probability than ever before. You don't get to necessarily rely on 'building a program' like you used to - so a single injury, just like the one that happened in Caleb Wilson, can ruin a year in the snap of a finger. You think firing people with this type of performance is going to be attractive to other coaches?
