You can enjoy both Carolina BBQ and Texas BBQ while understanding the difference and similarities of each cuisine. But for any outsider of South Carolina style BBQ I highly recommend you try hash & rice even though it might look like puke for somebody who has never had it but it is 10/10 delicious. Trust me.

Is it me or has ‘Gamecock Twitter’ been more fun recently since all the teams suck because folks are talking about more interesting topics instead. Just something I’ve noticed. (Don’t hate me. I root for the gamecocks even if they don’t win a game but this is just an observation I’ve noticed following a let down football season with a underwhelming basketball and now baseball season)

@cornbreadcowboi At least there is the women's basketball team. We seem to get a taste with men's basketball and then yanked right iut from under us. And the once great baseball program is a shell of its former self.

Haha maybe it’s also the time after the superbowl and between the start of nascar & baseball season & the masters. I’ve just enjoyed X more in February and March than football season going into the winter months when everybody was just always pissed off and a bunch of sad sacks ! Also the spring weather coming and time change boosts people’s mood perhaps. Just have seen some good variety or topics on here lately and I’d say about half my feed is ‘Gamecock Twitter’

When it comes to brisket I have to have a certain cut - moist from the point with bark .. the lean stuff is just too dry and not flavorful enough for me. Need the fatty shit ! Not assuming that’s why she didn’t enjoy it but some folks like the lean cut or just don’t know the difference unless they familiar with brisket

@cornbreadcowboi My wife traveled across the South, trying to eat every state's BBQ. In my opinion the top 3 are 1. SC mustard base, 2. Alabama Mayonnaise base, 3. NC vinegar base. TX brisket does not live up to the hype imo.
