Our U12 footballers were invited to the Na Doiri Oga U12.5 tournament at Derrylaughan yesterday, going all the way to the Cup semi final only to be beaten by eventual winners Errigal Ciaran. Well done lads! 💪🏼🇳🇬

Scientists just cracked the multiple sclerosis code after decades of searching. Two specific gut bacteria are triggering the disease, and they've proven it using identical twins and mice. This changes everything we know about MS:

A letter to all those who helped me over the years & who gave me a break when I needed it. Thank you. Brendan Crossan: ‘The beginning and end of my ‘why’ was making my parents proud. It was always that simple’ – The Irish News irishnews.com/gaa/gaelic-foo…

These kids are scheduled to visit Croke Park, the beating heart of the GAA on All Ireland Final Day. Can you imagine the magic of that? The roar of the crowd welcoming them. Let's get these children to Croke Park. Tag a county player below and let's get this over the line.

@_MickyP_ Well you could label it that, only when he was moved out the first time he was Division 3 😂, someone else took them to Division 4. Then his ‘stint’ was one extra year? That was my point. That all aside, your initial point is still valid.

@Michael_McCann8 That he did & more. Perhaps he would’ve made further progress. I wouldn’t call the second a stint though, I would label 2008-2014 the Baker Era. At the same time our shortcomings in 2012/13 I wouldn’t put on him. My point may be ‘cold heart of day’ stuff but I think it’s fair.

@_MickyP_ Though, in his first reign, before he was unexpectedly changed last minute, he had taken us from Div 4, up to Div 2, then left them in Div 3. When he came back, he took over a team in Div 4. The point is he had two stints, I think without the break, he would have progressed them

@Michael_McCann8 Despite my affection for Baker and the great days he presided over, when he finally called it a day we remained in Div 4 (2014). I suppose my point is that it all seems cyclical. Some progress then back to the start.

This is the team of the year so far. If you find yourself disagreeing, just take a wee step back and remember Jugger knows more than you do about it. Open to debate. **soupy would be there if he was given a fair dig by his manger but he hasn’t so he had to be left out (again ironically). Jugger.

After 26 incredible years I've decided to leave The Irish News at the end of the inter-county season. I couldn't have given it more - and The Irish News couldn't have given me more. It was a match made in heaven. For the next while, there's a bit more writing in me yet.

Jesus Christ, I’ve never wanted anybody to win something more than I want Luis Enrique to win the CL this year after seeing this. I’ve got a nine year old daughter and this just flawed me. What a man

@GavD_10 @seanbrady12 Can’t be tackled within the first 4 metres, the tap and go can also be taken within 4 metres of where the foul happened. It’s not football. Just sort out what’s a consistent foul and apply it, then there is no need for any of them.

@Michael_McCann8 @seanbrady12 Did any free takers within shooting distance take a tap as part of their "routine"? I can see someone doing it & a defender then coming running in for the tackle. I think technically the defender would be right???

Next it will be a point for a wide and a ref fucking the ball into play backwards. Early doors but this doesn’t feel the same. Nearly like exhibition games.

Great analysis there Maurice. No one said a word to the ref for hopping a ball....an obvious hop ball. Keep 'er lit.
