One of my favourite talk partner tasks in maths is to give two calculations and ask which could be considered more complex. Just been finishing some fractions planning and have applied it.

@MrBoothY6 I love the writing that Selfish Giant can inspire the children to produce. We used personification to create our own weather characters. The children the used AI to create the character from their description. This then led to them to edit and improve their character descriptions

If you’re ever looking for a picture book to get high quality writing out of, then The Selfish Giant by Oscar Wilde is absolutely my top year 6 pick. A joy to read work like this.

@MrBoothY6 Interested to know how you group your children. First year in UKS2 and my tables are set out like yours. Do you sit children based on ability or mixed to support?

Thankfully that’s all the messing with furniture I’ve got to do this break. Lovely brand new tables though and thankfully TRAYS.

@virginmedia The box is extremely slow and on demand services crash after a couple of minutes of a program starting. I keep being informed that I cannot get any cheaper deals because I’m an existing customer not a new one.

The service received as an existing customer by @virginmedia is disgusting. They put their prices up and up & the service gets worse. Our bill has doubled in price after our contract ran out. Our box doesn’t work properly & I have spent hours trying to get it sorted to no avail

@ZARA just been into one of your stores to return a Christmas present that doesn't fit. To be told I couldn't get the money put onto a gift card I could only exchange, I couldn't find anything I liked therefore left with the same jumper and an out of date receipt. Ridiculous
