@katiewiskar One further thing that does not really increase efficiency during a ward round but helps with workload down the line is to ask “Does this patient really need to be in hospital?”, and keep asking yourself the same question every day of their admission.

We are now also better at diagnosing it with PCR as opposed to the rather unreliable IgM serology. We are seeing significant numbers, enough for the pediatricians to have a low threshold for adding a macrolide empirically.
