As much as patients are increasingly turning to AI to interpret reports and understand treatment options, the physician role is the same: they’ll always need doctors and nurses to guide them in making the best decision, support them, and hold their hands 🤍 #AIinMedicine

💬 Perspective: As #AI increasingly guides diagnosis, documentation, and patient management, physicians’ roles are changing, prompting questions about sustaining empathy, accountability, and trust in algorithmic care. ja.ma/4soiuun

In the light of #Easter, let us allow ourselves to be amazed by Christ! Let us allow our hearts to be transformed by his immense love for us! Let those who have weapons lay them down! Let those who have the power to unleash wars choose peace! Not a peace imposed by force, but through dialogue! Not with the desire to dominate others, but to encounter them!

Hundreds of rural hospitals across the country are facing closures after years of funding problems. The issue was compounded last summer by the Trump administration's massive cuts to Medicaid whose reimbursements have long helped hospitals meet their bottom lines. to.pbs.org/4bZQ7fO

As many as 10 million people could lose Medicaid coverage in 2028 after new work requirements established under H.R. 1, a new study shows. Caregivers, students, self-employed, people w/irregular schedules and 50+ are at a particularly high risk. fiercehealthcare.com/regulatory/rwj…

Gupta: Medicare and Medicaid are federal programs, largely run by the federal government. And he is now saying that these are the responsibilities of the states. That is a significant—significant—statement. It means that purple and red states are likely going to struggle a lot more to provide basic healthcare to their Medicare and Medicaid recipients than blue states, which tend to be richer and, frankly, far more resourced

The visa pause is forcing physicians who’ve lived in the U.S. for years to stop working and exacerbating staffing shortages that are a longstanding headache for hospital administrators. politico.com/news/2026/04/0…

Mr. President: I have a better idea. Instead of spending over a trillion dollars on never-ending wars abroad while plunging the working class into poverty here at home, let’s invest in universal childcare, Medicare for All and affordable housing. America first!

Former U.S. surgeon general Dr. Jerome Adams disapproves of the Trump administration’s Surgeon General Casey Means’ assessment on the measles vaccines, saying “this isn’t personal or political … it's about her not having the basic qualifications to do the job.” “She does not have an active medical license and would be the first surgeon general ever to be in the role to not have an active medical license,” he says. “But beyond that, to the point you brought up, in the midst of a massive measles outbreak, America needs a surgeon general who can clearly stand behind vaccines.”
