My partners @GnawBoneStudios and @CREWbookreviews created this awesome trailer for my debut novel. Thanks, boys. Can't wait to repay this awesome gift! And to authors at any level of publication, you too can make your work stand out--drop them a line. #DoIt

🚨 JUST NOW — SECWAR PETE HEGSETH DROPS TRUTH: "The mantra you would hear dripping from the lips of generals, with a serious look on their face was, 'our diversity is our strength.'" "Which is the single DUMBEST phrase in military history!" "Of course, our diversity is not our strength. Our UNITY is our strength. Our shared purpose. The flag we wear, and the Constitution we serve to defend!" @RapidResponse47 Perfect man for the job!

@EricLDaugh Both of you are imbeciles. You do not understand that “diversity” and”unity” are not opposite words. You can be diverse and unified at the same time. That IS our strength.

@Tablesalt13 @grok theoretically, if Iran did have a nuclear bomb and the US dropped the MOP on it, would it detonate the nuclear bomb?

@scriptcomes1st Contains two magical ingredients: Willful ignorance of history, and contempt for all the freedoms bestowed in this country. The author clearly never stepped foot in that country.

More performative bullshit. Trump and Republicans are providing tax breaks and incentives for massive corporations and rich people. Costs that are not being offset by policies that gut social programs, slash funding for healthcare and food assistance, that defund and/or dismantle scientific research, community support structures, public health and environmental initiatives, and the agencies responsible for protecting consumers and regulating predatory financial institutions. Give me a break... It's no surprise that a majority of Americans disapprove of Trump's job as president, his approval ratings have been consistently underwater because he hasn't addressed the immediate problems that Americans care most about in any sort of fundamental way. Trump has been mostly fixated on pageantry, pomp and circumstance, on exploiting his power to obstruct justice; on using the presidency to enrich himself, his family, and his wealthy benefactors; on weaponizing the government against his political opponents; on covering up his corruption scandals; on his own personal vanity projects; and among other things, on transforming the government and presidency into a dictatorship and kleptocracy that benefits a select few at the expense of most Americans. Nevertheless, Trump supporters continue to blame Joe Biden and Democrats for inflation and every conceivable economic problem that arose during the pandemic ; ignoring the unforeseen circumstances and all of the contingent economic factors that contributed to an unavoidable, global economic disaster. The pandemic impacted the world economy, Incumbent parties lost support for their candidates, and government spending increased globally. Voters simply didn't know or care to hear that under Biden, the US saw one of the strongest and fastest economic recoveries in the world, so much so that it became the envy of other nations. But Trump said the word "groceries" repeatedly and convinced enough low informed voters that he could fix everything on "day one." Trump managed to win on this bad faith messaging; inheriting a growing economy for the *second* time, only to fuck it up within his first 100 days; destabilizing global trade; shocking markets; instigating trade wars; weakening our alliances and ignoring the financial concerns of most Americans, among other things. His policies have led to higher prices for American consumers, volatile supply and demand fluctuations, trade wars and retaliation from trade partners, slowed job growth, supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, stock market volatility, among other things, and all while he continues to escalate economic and diplomatic tensions between the US, its allies, trade partners and foreign competitors. There's also Trump's "big beautiful bill" that amounts to a massive redistribution of wealth, spends needlessly on national security, and explodes the debt and deficit, all while his cuts to healthcare and food assistance don't even begin to remotely offset the costs of his other policies. More reasons why voters disapprove of Trump's handling of the economy: The Trump administration is adding significantly the debt and deficit; issuing unilateral, excessive and illegal tariffs that are raising costs, hurting domestic industries and destabilizing global trade while damaging our relationships with allies. The government is obfuscating economic data and lying to investors; straining our economic and geopolitical relationships with allies and trade partners while ignoring inflation, labor shortages and poor jobs figures. The Trump administration is distorting facts and eliminating transparency by dismantling independent oversight and firing directors and qualified civil servants without cause; stripping them of their protections and replacing them with MAGA loyalists. @mnsibley Try ONE YEAR before getting anything back for a half-assed effort that actually made it 5x worse. So, what did I do?--I agree to a second book. Shame on me. And those agents promised who wanted me to send a full?--never responded when directly contacted.

Story Time (little long, but worth it): I'm still pissed off. Years later. Allow me to vent. Traditional publishing is a dead cesspool. I hired a big name editor back in 2020 to edit A Dance of Devils. I should have known right away when they dropped names, said they knew X Author's real name, were the editor for huge author's novels, and for every question I had, another thousand dollars was attached to the answer. Now, by all accounts this person is a great editor, influencer, and also a prolific author in the Thriller genre. I will give them credit for getting me to actually write A Dance of Devils. But that's it. I respect this person's hustle, in that they write novels, edit novels, and a host of other things, but when you pay someone for a service, you expect them to deliver on time with a great service. This person does not do that. Unresponsive, late, and a very half-assed product (in my case, the edit of A Dance of Devils). They promised a full edit in 2 months. What I got was a one page editor letter and the first chapter mildly edited "as an example". That was 4 months late. That cost me several thousand bucks, but with more promises. Those promises were to get an agent and possible screen deal, based on their endorsement, but I'd have to re-write Mongol Moon and Dance cause they weren't "standard" manuscripts. I was naïve and didn't know what I didn't know. So, several thousand more bucks and one last call. This was about the time I got a call from @wargate. What they offered sounded too good to be true and I stayed the course for a few more months. You'd think after paying a person many thousands of dollars, they'd proactively check in on progress. Not a peep. That feeling in my gut finally made my decision for me and I called WarGate back, after my friend @bpardoe870 said to me "whatever you do, absolutely sign with WarGateBooks." You know how I know I made the right decision? To this day, that big time editor and author has not reached out to me once. Not Once. Do I want the money back? No. I'm not the only author that has been taken by this person. I know of several others and we talk. They have like a dozen novels on Amazon now and by all accounts, they are good novels. Not one has more ratings/reviews than Mongol Moon or A Dance of Devils. It's a karmatic consolation for sure. Even with ALL the big name thriller authors endorsing their novels. For that, I am grateful to all you Mooners out there that enjoy my words. Best decision I've made is to call @wargate back. From the time I called them to when Mongol Moon and Dance of Devils were edited and released was 6 months (rare in Trad Pub). Then they listened to my wack ideas and turned them into Apocalypse In Pieces. Then, when we realized @6Voodoo was incapable of writing an actual short story, we got him to turn his 40K word short into the full novel, Blood Memory. That turned into 6 other authors having written or currently writing full novels in the MM World as well, for which I'm eternally grateful. Big things coming! None of that would've happened on the other path. @TheJasonAnspach @RealNickCole @kroh01 @wrenawrites at WarGate are the most amazing team of publishers/partners/editors one could ask for. They allow me to just do my thing, albeit more slowly than I think they'd like. They took a chance. Thank you. I could get a huge book deal tomorrow with a trad pub house and would stay with WarGate. When you know you've found home, you stay. The bad experience above is just something you learn from. Also...

Re Kirk’s grotesque murder: 1. Nothing could possibly justify it. 2. Those calling the suspected assassin trans, liberal, or a radical leftist are exploiting a tragedy for political gain by making stuff up. 3. My reaction saying he was to Kirk’s right was premature, and I’m sorry I reposted a tweet to that effect before deleting my repost.

Most recruits are 21 when they step onto Parris Island. Paul Douglas was 50. A professor, politician, and patriot, Douglas left behindb a life of comfort in 1942 to enlist in the Marine Corps-becoming the oldest recruit in Parris Island history. From enduring boot camp without missing a beat, to earning a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts, Douglas served with a bravery that inspired generations of Marines
