They understood the difference between right and wrong. They understood that war wasn't a good thing. They didn't fight with each other, instead they banded together and protested the war in Viet Nam in a variety of ways...public protests, anti- war music, concerts and more. As a boomer I've lived through generations of different mind sets, but NEVER have I seen anything like the division we see now in this country. It's astounding that a good portion of this country is so ignorant and blind to what's really going on with our government. Instead of opening their hearts and minds to see the truth and stand with us to fight this illegal war and criminal administration, they shout hate filled slurs and flat out deny even the most well documented facts. Why?? How is it serving them to do this? They're suffering the same things that the rest of us are... higher grocery prices, higher gas prices, higher healthcare costs and in some cases no health care, the threat of WWII and nuclear war, the threat of losing their freedom and Constitutional rights to a billionaire class of people that doesn't give a single shit about them. So why are these people still clinging to this "wannabe dictator" and his criminal administration that doesn't serve them at all? I just don't get it. Maybe I'm old, but "back in the day" we had our troubles in this country, but the vast majority of this country stood together AGAINST the powers that be to make this country a better place. At least we tried. With the serious threat of nuclear war hanging over ALL our heads now, by an absolute madman who cares ONLY for himself, EVERYONE should be on the same page in trying to get this lunatic out of office. This isn't about political party, it's about right vs wrong. A nuclear bomb isn't going to care if you wear a red #MAGA hat, it's going to incinerate you just as well. I know this is a really long post, but I hope you took the time to read it and I sincerely hope it's made some of you think long and hard.
