Can you imagine being a Millwall player, on the third day of your holiday, hearing, "Well, they might want you and Middlesbrough to play off, so don't have too much to drink".

I have a horrible feeling that the Premier League are putting undue pressure on the EFL to declare the play offs void due to "spygate' so they don't have to lose either Spurs or West Ham

@WelsbyElton Elton, when a goal is scored in a championship game I find myself waiting for confirmation, only to realise that the game has kicked off again. That’s how much VAR is influencing the game at the top level, hate it

That's right. Referees made mistakes but who doesn't. Now VAR,with the benefits of time and countless replays,make mistakes which I find unforgivable. The Championship could have had VAR next season but voted against it. There's more sense outside the Premier League.

I’m at a loss to understand why anyone would consider Michael O’Neill’s decision not to join the Rovers, surprising. The situation was clear, that MON would revert back to his role as NI Manager at the end of his tenure with Rovers. That’s not difficult to grasp.

I think comments like, it's great to see Ronnie or he puts bums on seats are absolutely irrelevant to be honest. Obviously it's great to see him. It just shouldn't be at this event. Top 16 players, and maybe top 32, just shouldn't be involved. It's not the spirit of the event.

@Nick_Metcalfe I think by definition of "seniors" the minimum age to be allowed in should be 60. Surely even he won't be as good in another 10 years!

I’m not massively fancying a snooker debate right now. But I find myself feeling duty bound to say I don’t think Ronnie O’Sullivan should play in the Seniors. Various top snooker people disagree with me and that’s fine too. But it doesn’t feel in the spirit of the event to me.

@RobJF24 I was in Preston Guild Hall the night of Ronnie's 1000th century. A great snooker venue sadly no more. Any you've been to that aren't around anymore?
