Today, I turn a year older. And every year on this day, I reflect on something far bigger than me. For a long time, I believed luck was something that just happens to you. Then I realised, luck can be engineered. Opportunity can be democratised. Hope is not just a feeling; it is a system we can build.

Since I have been tagged to this post, let me respond. Be informed, we have initiated a meeting between the airline, the complainant, and the NCAA on Thursday. It is to the airline's credit that they have agreed to have this meeting despite the public holiday. Dear lawyer. I not only engaged this passenger here on X, I reached out to him via voice call (WhatsApp) and we had an honest conversation about this matter. At the risk of being preemptive ahead of our meeting, let me state clearly: 1. Any issues between a passenger and Immigration anywhere has NOTHING to do with the airline. The airline does not have any powers over the security agency. This unfortunate matter was between the passenger and an agency of the Qatar government, not the airline. His luggage were scanned by Nigerian officials before departure and, on arrival in Doha, by Qatari officials. Not Qatar Airways. 2. The passenger has said that he was absolved of wrong doing by the Qatari, and he has sent us a document to that effect. He will bring the original copy to our office on Thursday. 3. The passenger says that his and his wife's US visas have been cancelled, and he insists that it is the airline that wrote the US authorities. I have advised him that, unless he has contrary evidence, it is not the purview of any airline to write and advice states over such matters. I would be shocked if this allegation is true, but Qatar Airways has denied it in strong terms. I hope that the passenger has evidence of the claim. It is the agencies of government that usually have access to their sister agencies in other states. Not the airlines. 4. For now, what the airline has done wrong is the tone of their letter to the passenger as they have informed him that he has now been removed from their NO-FLY list after initially banning him based on the government's first position per drug-importation. The letter suggests that, while he has now been forgiven, the passenger must avoidable repeat such wrongful behavior in future. This suggests that the passenger was guilty of the initial allegation of drug possession. The NCAA wonders why such a tone was used if the passenger has been cleared of guilt in the matter. This will be explained during the meeting. The airline would have to write a rejoinder to that letter, applying the correct tone and apologise for the trauma caused by the first letter. 5. Since the airline did not write the US authorities to cancel the passenger's visa, it is not their duty to write the same authorities to revoke that cancellation. 6. The NCAA deals with airlines, not necessarily foreign security agencies or embassies. To that end, it is important that the efforts be directed at the appropriate agencies to handle. 7. Since we have initiated a process for resolution, the passenger cannot claim to have been abandoned. I chatted with him via WhatsApp yesterday. The Authority empathizes with him, but we will work within the scope of the regulations and international conventions. Let me also state that what happened here has nothing to do with his nationality. There are lots of other nationals with similar stories. Including citizens of the US. You may wish to recall the case, In 2018, of Dr. Ellie Holman, a Swedish-Iranian woman residing in the UK who was imprisoned briefly for consuming just a glass of wine that was served her by the airline (Emirates) while on a flight to Dubai. She and her daughter were held together, even though it was the airline that served her the drink, and it was just a glass. 8. Since Qatar Airways will attend the meeting with a lawyer, I advise the passenger to also come with his lawyer. If there are issues and evidence other than what has been shown us, it would be an opportunity to discuss them. 9. Rest assured that this case will receive our best attention and effort toward a resolution.

This unfortunate story may seem like what should happen in a Nollywood movie. But it is 100% accurate. @qatarairways has blatantly refused to address the injustice done to Gideon Ezeh. Mr. Ezeh was on his way to the United States to visit his wife who is a PhD candidate in the US. Ezeh was also carrying a hairdressing mannequin head - purchased as a gift and act of love for his wife who had expressed difficulty braiding her hair. He first purchased it to learn hair braiding and to assist her with it during his visit, and he carried it as an additional gift to her, so she could practise braiding in his absence. WhatsApp messages between the couple dated April 21, 2025, and TikTok hair tutorial videos downloaded by Mr. Ezeh on April 24, 2025, fully corroborate this innocent and deeply personal purpose. There was nothing criminal, suspicious, or irregular about Mr. Ezeh's travel. He was a loving husband flying to support his wife. On May 7th, 2025, while transiting through Hamad International Airport, Qatar, with Qatar Airways, he was detained following suspicion that decorative stones contained within the mannequin might contain narcotics. He cooperated fully with authorities and complied with every investigative procedure requested of him. Importantly, the initial airport field tests reportedly returned negative results for narcotics. Despite this, he was detained and imprisoned for approximately six weeks while forensic analysis was conducted. At the conclusion of this analysis, the competent forensic laboratory determined that the stones were benign and contained no narcotic substances. The Public Prosecution subsequently dismissed the case. While the dismissal confirmed his innocence, the damage caused by the incident has been profound and continues to this day. For six weeks, he was deprived of his liberty, subjected to immense psychological distress, and treated as a suspected narcotics trafficker despite the absence of confirmed evidence. The stigma associated with such allegations is severe and has followed us long after the investigation concluded. The consequences have extended far beyond the time in detention. As a direct result of the allegation, the United States visas of Ezeh and his wife were revoked, and their names were flagged in international travel databases in a manner associated with narcotics trafficking. These actions have had devastating personal and professional consequences. Despite the dismissal of the case, the authorities involved have refused to release the forensic laboratory report confirming the benign nature of the stones. This refusal is deeply troubling. The report is the most critical piece of evidence needed to restore our reputations and correct the record internationally, particularly with immigration authorities who continue to rely on the existence of the original allegation. Denying access to exculpatory evidence leaves the couple in an impossible position where innocence has been acknowledged internally but cannot be demonstrated externally. In addition, Mr. Ezeh was subjected to a ban by Qatar Airways based on an undefined claim of “unacceptable conduct.” This ban was later quietly lifted without explanation, apology, or clarification. The lack of transparency surrounding this action has further damaged his reputation and caused significant distress.

Did you notice that they struck Sokoto? Not Borno. Not Plateau. Not the obvious front line. That should teach you something about American intelligence and intelligence gathering. They know where the problem is from You do not fight only where the noise is loud. You hit where coordination, funding, and command are happening. The Nigerian Army can handle the front line. Soldiers can confront fighters head-on. But to end the problem, you dismantle the powerhouse. You break the coordination, the planners, the enablers. That is how real wars are won. This was not an attack. It was a warning. A message that says, in clear terms: We know where you are. We are watching you. Leave now, or face the consequences. That is how serious operations begin. Quiet. Precise. Psychological. And this is only one of many signals. If the attacks in Nigeria don't stop America will not back down, especially with this Israel intelligence I said it before in one of my posts. The next phase would not be loud. In the next 90 days, the noise would drop. What you are seeing now is the beginning of that phase. Why am I worried? Because Trump has now put Nigeria on the global map for the worst possible reason ever. A US missile strike on Nigerian soil. Then a public announcement that America struck ISIS terrorists in Nigeria 👈 That single statement has done serious diplomatic damage to Nigeria. Nigeria’s image has been dragged into a category it has never openly occupied before. And this could have been avoided months ago. If the leadership had acted with precision. If they had controlled the narrative. If they had managed the media. If they had crushed the insurgents quietly and decisively. But they failed. Completely. From the security adviser. To the army command. To the media handlers. To the presidential circle. Up to the president himself. They failed first to control the story. They failed to counter propaganda. They failed, most importantly, to end the insurgency. Now it has spilled beyond our control. Inside Nigeria, life feels normal. People are dancing, posting, moving on. But outside Nigeria, the picture is different. To the international community, Nigeria is now being associated with terrorism. Terrorism they have neglected since 2009 Travel restrictions are only the first signal. Clearing this image will not be easy. It will require the government to go all in. Diplomatically. Militarily. Politically. Media-wise. They must prove, that Nigeria is safe again. And that process is neither fast nor simple. That is why this strike worries me. Still, one thing remains true. If our leaders failed and someone else is now forcing accountability, then that part, at least, is a welcome development.

Merry Christmas to all, including the Radical Left Scum that is doing everything possible to destroy our Country, but are failing badly. We no longer have Open Borders, Men in Women’s Sports, Transgender for Everyone, or Weak Law Enforcement. What we do have is a Record Stock Market and 401K’s, Lowest Crime numbers in decades, No Inflation, and yesterday, a 4.3 GDP, two points better than expected. Tariffs have given us Trillions of Dollars in Growth and Prosperity, and the strongest National Security we have ever had. We are respected again, perhaps like never before. God Bless America!!! CLARIFICATION ON CHANNELS INTERVIEW   Over the past two days, there has been significant public discussion around a comment I made during an interview on Channels Television. I would like to clarify the intention behind that part of the conversation and encourage everyone to watch the full interview, - youtu.be/Ckxg8qOvqoo?si… - which was largely focused on the progress and impact of the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme. In responding to a question during the interview, my objective was to explain that gaps in digital infrastructure and connectivity in some parts of the country represent a development and security vulnerability. These gaps limit economic opportunity, restrict access to services, and weaken coordination and inclusion. This is precisely why the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is making historic investments in digital infrastructure to ensure no part of Nigeria is left behind. These efforts include: 1. Project Bridge, a 90,000-kilometre national fibre-optic backbone that will connect every geopolitical zone, state, and local government area, providing the foundation for ubiquitous connectivity. 2. The deployment of 3,700 new telecom towers to unserved and underserved communities, which will enable over 23 million Nigerians who are currently unconnected to access reliable communication services. 3. The strengthening of NIGCOMSAT, including the replacement of its current satellite and the launch of two new communication satellites, to further enhance national coverage and resilience. Together, these investments will deepen connectivity across the country, strengthen Nigeria’s digital economy, and ensure that digital infrastructure contributes meaningfully to economic prosperity, inclusion, and national development. My comments were made in this context — to highlight why closing connectivity gaps matters, and how this administration is deliberately working to address them. Thank you.

Prof. Oby Lilian Orogbu@Oby_Orogbu

On Tuesday, 14th October 2025, I had the honour of receiving my leader and mentor, Mr. @PeterObi, in Awka North and South to commission projects aimed at revitalizing educational infrastructure across the constituency. Also in attendance were the Labour Party Governorship Candidate for Anambra State, Dr. @MoghaluGeorge, and the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Mrs. Ifeoma Okaro, whose presence underscored our shared commitment to community development and educational advancement. Together, we commissioned a newly constructed six-classroom block at Community Secondary School, Achalla in Awka North Local Government Area, as well as a renovated and furnished three-classroom block at Community Primary School, Okpuno in Awka South Local Government Area. As an academic and a proud disciple of Mr. Peter Obi, I am deeply passionate about education and its transformative power. I firmly believe, as Nelson Mandela once said, that "education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." This belief is not merely rhetorical, it is the driving force behind my legislative agenda. The current state of educational facilities across Awka North and South is deeply concerning, with many schools in a state of disrepair and lacking basic amenities necessary for effective learning. This reality has strengthened my resolve to use the instruments of the legislature to ensure that our schools are rehabilitated, adequately equipped, and conducive to learning. Thirteen schools in our constituency have benefited from newly constructed, reconstructed, and furnished classroom blocks, along with essential teaching materials. I have also sponsored JAMB registration fees for 200 aspiring students across the 34 wards of Awka North and South, with a pledge to enroll the best-performing student from each ward into my scholarship programme, a promise I am proud to have fulfilled. For me, investing in education is not just a policy choice; it is a moral imperative and a strategic investment in the future of our society. We must continue to empower our children, by providing access to quality education, by creating meaningful opportunities for growth, and by building strong, knowledge-driven communities where learning is valued and progress is shared. From chalk to chamber, my journey continues. And I’m just getting started. -POLO

Bro let’s be real. The Super Eagles deserve the heat they’re getting. You can’t keep serving poor performances and expect fans to clap like everything’s fine. Nobody can police how people support their own country. Some go rant, some go cheer, both na passion. Criticism no mean hate, it means people still care enough to talk. If the boys want everyone behind them, then give us something worth backing. Until then, let people support or vent how they want. It’s football, not a loyalty test.
