We don't teach about Indigenous communities through the lens of residential schools. We don't explore Black History Month only through the lens of slavery. Educators must ensure that we don't only teach about Jewish peoplehood through the lens of the Holocaust.

7) GIVE YOURSELF SOME GRACE. If your child needs to miss a Zoom call in order to take a learning break or spend some time with you - it's all okay. As long as they can keep up with their tasks and deadlines - they'll be alright. What they need most of all is support from family.

6) Prepare next day's materials the night before. I always tell kid's who often forget things to pack their bag the night before. The same applies at home - print materials, completed homework, organize belongings and be ready to go once morning comes around.
